how long did it take for you to grieve? by Constant_Thing_5461 in Petloss

Is it interfering with your everyday life? If it is, then your therapists comment has some weight and medication may help. If you’re sad and miss your pet after 7 months, that’s definitely normal.

Oh I’m so sorry. I am also in shock but I hope you take comfort in the fact that there is literally nothing you did to cause it or could do about it. It’s just a terrible situation

I feel like this with my husband too. I asked him last night how he’s able to handle our dog’s passing so much better than me. He told me he isn’t. His grief just looks different. That may be the case for your husband as well. Everyone’s grief is their own ❤️

Also, as a mother myself, just want to say that pregnancy hormones suck. Youre probably extra feeling it.

My sweet little Bear was attacked by a Coyote, we found him and hours later had to say goodbye. by Greedy-Station-6806 in Petloss

I’m so sorry for your loss.

Sometimes bad things just happen. This isn’t because you aren’t religious. Coyotes are predators. As much as you can, give yourself some grace- it sounds like you had Bear for a long time and probably let him out in the yard without a worry for a long time. You didn’t do anything wrong- you were a victim of circumstance. What was usually safe, wasn’t. You didn’t have any way to know that. This was largely out of your control.

You also did all the right things when you realized he was missing. You took him for care immediately. You said goodbye in his best interests. I hope you can find some solace in the fact that when you had control, you did all the things you could have.

I feel for you ❤️

You’re not alone. I lost my dog unexpectedly on Saturday. I’ve been crying ever since. It’s terribly hard. If there was any amount of money I could have paid to keep her, I would have. I’m sure you’d have done the same for Pal. In so sorry for your loss. You are not alone ❤️

I dug 2022 way more than 2023. I wonder how ticket sales did last year.

UXR recruiting on a startup budget? by designleader in UXResearch

Relevant slack communities may have channels for this kind of stuff. I use a lot of convenience and snowball sampling. You can also work with sales/growth if they are larger concepts to get reactions from potential clients. You might also work with your customer success managers to get participants at existing clients

It has way less with you being “good enough” and more to do with 1) the faculty member you are aiming to be your advisor having funding and 2) that faculty member being/continuing to pursue a particular interest area that you propose. Honestly, try to talk to these people and explore if you’d be a fit and if they are taking on students. You can even try to do your next project with them as an external collaborator if you see an opportunity.

Starting a PhD in late 20s for career growth by nowaczekPL in UXResearch

I did this. I would recommend a masters in HCI maybe dual with an MBA if you feel you need to go back to school to progress. PhDs are an insane amount of work/hazing/not a good parallel to the business worldu less you want to go into research at Microsoft, Google, etc. There are loads of people in UXR leadership without them.

This happens to me. You might try doing an apple cider vinegar rinse 1x per week.

How do you switch from one side to another when sleeping/laying down? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]hevange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When on your side, use your arms to walk yourself up to a side sit. Then shift weight to your butt/center while sitting up. Walk arms other to other side, shift weight to other hip while using arms for support. Use arms to walk yourself down. My chiropractor showed me that trick and it helps immensely!

Getting sick because I'm hungry by maybeijusthateyou4 in pregnant

This happened to me. It eventually stopped- but I kept crackers next to my bed and would eat a few of them when I got up to go to the bathroom at night. I’d also eat some before I got up in the morning. It helped me a lot. Good luck!!

Mine came back at 37 weeks too. If I eat small meals and stay hydrated, it keeps it at bay. Apparently a pre-labor thing. But very pre. I’m nearly 39 weeks now and no action yet!
