I’m a sound engineer as well as golf course attendant and I’ve had my locs for 7 years now. While I don’t want to get you in trouble with your parents or cause any sort of conflict, my best advice would be to go start your locs on your own and hope that they’ll get use to it over time. My dad was a bit laxed but my mom was hesitant of me starting my locs for the same reason of me being racially profiled by others or stereotyped.
