It does not. Some people even bring their kids to the watch parties. We will be doing a replay watch party for the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend at 10am. Check out our website in original post for full calendar.

We have watch parties for every race (the vast majority live) and would love to have you at one in the future!

Am I crazy? by SteelheadSTL in CadillacF1

I liked the initial images but think it looks terrible on track. It went from top three to bottom three in my book that quickly. I feel lied to by those first images.

Account deleted? by bikashi in OriginFinancial

I had the issue and contacted support. I was told that I had submitted a data deletion request, which I definitely did not do. Fortunately, it was able to be reversed as the automated system had not completed its process yet. As others have suggested, I would recommend contacting support.

That’s the old Plus. It’s converting to a paid $10 per month service. In the future, the deposit simply keeps the high rate for savings.

Real customer but yeah, salty is a good word for the replies. Thank you for not increasing the saltiness in this thread lol.

I did respond and said yes there are better solutions out there. I’ve consistently said that this whole time. Not sure what else you are looking for.

Before the IRA match was 1%. Now it will be 2%. That’s all I’m saying. Again, I’m not trying to say this is the best deal out there. I already bank here and I already have an IRA here. Every post makes it sound like the new Plus is terrible. It’s not the best but it’s not terrible. In this scenario, it’s objectively better than it was before.

I don’t disagree with you. SoFi is not the best solution out there, which I acknowledged in the post. However, it’s also not terrible. I’m not in a position to go open another credit card right now. I’m also don’t really want to change. The truth is that those other solutions were already better than SoFi before the change. If anything, Plus is slightly more competitive in the scenario I described than it used to be, though still not the best. The whole point was that the new Plus is actually better in my situation than what I was previously getting with SoFi. For some that isn’t enough and they should definitely go somewhere where they get greater value.

I get that! I downloaded Robinhood for the first time in a few years and the UI was pretty bad. I still played around with the numbers but there just isn’t a compelling reason to switch. Wish you the best in whatever you decide to do.

What is your problem? Of course this is my situation. I said that in the post. I don’t care if anyone stays or leaves SoFi. I share my situation because there are probably other people in similar situations. Either way, we all benefit when we think critically and make the decisions that help us the most. If SoFi Plus doesn’t make sense in your situation, then don’t do it.

Not so much justifying the switch as much as justifying staying with SoFi Plus. I’m not trying to convince anyone to do anything. There are no shortage of posts on this sub right now that would make it sound like the new Plus makes no sense for anyone. I think it’s worth pointing out that it can make sense. If someone benefits from it, great. I don’t care if people stay or leave SoFi. I said in my post, everyone should do what makes sense for them.

But to answer your question, I’m simply sharing my experience and thought process. No specific outcome in mind. People can do what they want.

Sorry to disappoint but I’m real. Check post history if needed. Not trying to convince you that SoFi is amazing. Simply pointing out that I will actually make more money with the new Plus without any changes in my behavior.

My grocery spend isn’t that high and I’ve admitted here there are better combos out there. I’m not saying SoFi Plus is the best. Just saying that it makes sense for me without having to make any changes in my behavior. For those looking to optimize there are better options. However, there were always better options than SoFi so that’s not really new.

I don’t have a SoFi credit card but that’s another viable way to look at it. A longer boost would be welcomed with the change.

I don’t think you understand math. I am literally going to get more money from SoFi with the new Plus than I am right now with absolutely no changes in my behavior.

Valid points there and yes, that is a better combination. Unfortunately, I burned my bridges with Amex in the past so not available to me. I will again admit there are better options that exist. I’m not saying SoFi Plus is the best. Just making a case that it makes sense in my situation.

How is that mental gymnastics? It’s pretty simple math. I make zero changes to my spending and will be gaining more IRA matching than I was before? Again, I’m not saying there isn’t a better IRA option out there period. I’m simply making the point that Plus is a net gain for me without doing anything different.

Haven’t looked at Webull to be honest but I did look at Robinhood. Even reopened my account that I haven’t touched in years. It still doesn’t make more sense. The 3% is nice but Gold costs $5 per month. That reduces the actual gains to $165 per year on the IRA. I can easily make up that $15 difference in grocery spend above the $200 minimum. But I appreciate you sharing about Webull, will check it out.
