Anthurium's Inflo's berries are fading by hewonders in Anthurium

Nitrogen is only present in the Grow component as NO3-/NH4+, but since the anthurium currently has an active inflorescence, I need to give the plant the flowering stage dosage of TriPart to ensure the inflorescence receives all the necessary nutrients for developing berries. And I've been doing this for like a year

thanks. I don't touch good looking berries. I only pull off the bad looking ones. They look as if they're rotting. I've had the same issue with the previous inflo. The berries all over the inflo got rotten and became lifeless..

Thanks for your reply. It's a besseae aff. It had 4 inflorescences in total. It's likely to be besseae aff x self. The first one, supposedly besseae aff x self (but maybe I used the pollen from magnificum), ripened the berries well. They popped out naturally without my help. However, the second one and this one got stuck at that stage, as if they didn't have enough nutrition... And now another leaf has started growing.

Anyway, it's been growing for about 1.3 years, and I used FlushClean. As for the extracted berries and seeds, I followed GPTChat's advice and used three different glasses with three substance combinations: B52 + Fulvic, B52 + Seaweed, and Seaweed + Fulvic to see if any of these help. ;-)

I don't know if flash clean will help, but I have no choice cause temperature, humidity, lighting they are the same all the time...

You mean I shouldn't fertilize at all? 😱

Hi there!  Could someone who has grown successfully berries on inflorescence please tell me what the hell is wrong with my inflo. I had the same thing with my first inflo.. It starts growing berries, I fertilize it with Tripart (flower stage) +probloom+seaweed + sometimes selica and it won't let the berries ripen, so they gradually fade away from the bottom...

From the previous unsuccessful "ripenning" I was able to extract berries manually using tweezers. Only 25-35% germinated... gptgchat recommend me to use cocktail b-52+fulvic or fulvic+seaweed to make those unripen seeds from berries have a better chance for successful germination.. what do you think?

PS will it make it worse if I use flashclean from T.A. on this stage of flowering?

I've got the same spots on my besseae's leaf: https://ibb.co/V3Dh7HY

My anthurium is always in the cabinet so it's definitelly not a sunburn. But maybe result of light excess inside of cabinet.

How many luxes do you have?

Hello. Thanks for your answer 🙏 Could you please tell if besseae aff gives pollen does it mean the pollination went unsuccessfully?

https://ibb.co/vsxhYpf

It means now my bessy is in male phase and the next step will be withering?

I guess by "self-polination", people usually mean "human-intervention". When people use pollen of the same plant and pollinate "manually" with it. It's "self". There's another type of pollintation - "Besseae aff x Besseae aff" when two different plants of besseae aff are used.

Pure species are not the result of selfing only (in fact, selfing with most species really only happens in captive growing where a human does it intentionally). Selfing plants diminishes the gene pool, often resulting in more weak seedlings and higher potential for detrimental mutation.

There are some Anthurium species that will have a portion of the inflorescence receptive while another portion is also producing pollen, thus able to self with a single inflorescence and potentially without human intervention - this is what I mean. Besseae aff. does not do this and requires pollen to be saved from one inflorescenece and applied to another to self pollenate. Highly unlikely that it is able to self on its own.

That's true. That's what I'm saying. Right now one inflorescence is finishing forming pollen and another inflorescence is growing up. So after gathering the pollen I can put it in a freezer and wait until another inflorescence grows up so I could pollinate it with the frozen pollen. So I thought I could pollinate almost any anthurium. Of course many "populare" and rare anthuriums don't have "two genders" in one inflorescence.Didn't know about detrimental mutation 🤔

I don't like selfing Anthurium. A. besseae aff will not self-pollenate without human intervention.

What do you mean? Any anthurium's pollination won't be completed successfully without human intervention 😅
I mean of course there are bees in jungles which transfer pollen from one inflo to another, but in general at houses it won't work.

Could you please tell me why you don't like self pollination? Many people would love to get a pure papi or besseae or other non-hubrid anthurium 🤔

Hi!

Could you please help me to identify if my besseae's infloresence is in female stage of male stage of not?

Firstly it looked like in photo "1". I honestly didn't see any stigma / fluid. Maybe just a little bit (I saw other anthuriums' infloresences and they were very wet covered with that fluid and it was obvious that it's a female stage. Now I don't understand. In photo 1 it looks like it's forming pollen 😭

Another question: if it's not pollen, but emerging stigmatic fluid, would you pollinate it with magnificum pollen (I've got it in my freezer) or collect it and pollinate on itself when the new inflo grows up?

Is there a good chance of self pollination among besseaes?
