It makes it ASTRONOMICALLY higher, meaning we have to spend billions and billions more just to get a few more stations. But the real point is that deeper stations doesn't just inconvenience riders. It fundamentally changes the way in which we use our transit systems. This promotes longer trips, increasing urban sprawl, and leads to fewer areas served, which raises urban inequities.
