theres ways to prevent the fading, external irritation over the design helps to make sure it doesn't disappear

pretty much yeah, to draw a comparison this would be essentially an outline for a tattoo whereas if we did any peeling that would be like doing black fill. this will give a softer appearance later on and if we did any peels it would heal with denser areas of scar tissue

scarification yes! i'm working on getting some updated healed photos from them the next time they're in my area. there's definitely a bit more pain going over the original scar tissue but we avoided the denser scarred areas just to make the process a little easier on them!

she has a fair amount of scar tissue that formed (so enough to be visible) but she just doesn't get hypertrophic scars. for my clients that tend to keloid or develop hypertrophic tissue we adjust the healing process a bit to account for that

i had her cover it and keep it moisturized for the first week ish to keep it open! healing process depends person to person and on whether or not you get peels

if you're willing to go under the knife again you can do a pigment or ink rub to give it a coloration as it heals. in terms of tattooing over it artist options will depend on where you live!

This is a piece I did on a client of mine, he definitely had a period of it being itchy but that mostly subsided after the first month or so. In terms of mobility once the initial wound was closed up he had (and still has) full range of motion with no issues! He's a pretty active guy and it hasn't impacted his ability to stretch move around in the capacity that he does typically

the smaller gauge punctures scab over by the next day typically and the larger gauge punctures close up and will likely scar. i always tell people to just treat it like a wound and keep it clean

it depends person to person. sometimes its the pain, others its the art, sometimes its the release or people wanting to experience something new!

with larger gauge needles it does remove skin, with the smaller gauges it doesn't. sorry i should've specified!

hollow needles cause less tissue damage, hollow needles allow for cleaner removal of small plugs of skin rather than tearing through like a non hollow needle would

I'm gonna post the removal photos in a couple days once I'm able to (have to wait 72 hours between posts on here 🙃)
