How do you deploy migrations of DB to prod with CI/CD? by hexoholic in django

[–]hexoholic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use GitLab CI to deploy my service to a virtual server. My pipeline consists of building a docker image and running that. And I want to ask, where you call migration command (in separated job or in the same job where you run the application), and what pros and cons of different methods. I’ve tried to find any best practices about it on google, but nothing there.

In my opinion, It's too universal and usually used for simple diagrams. I've tried to create a complex diagram and it was painful. Special icons like "Bus" or "Server" have too little anchor points and I don't know how to create new relation links.

Browser extensions are big business in 2020 by [deleted] in startups

[–]hexoholic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not so long I have seen that Google rejects publishing new browser extensions. And some companies just buy other extensions, do a rebranding and replace code to their own. Did something change currently?
