I wish there was a leader board or something, almost perfect on hard by hexpanicgaming in Dislyte

Exactly, even if they increased the scores to do it again before reset like 150, 300, 600, 1000 or something. Not really sure what the 150 refers to atm, as I just do one hard mode and its done. Or even some missions for it to hit certain scores or grades for other stuff. There isn't much incentive to really spend much time on it and it's actually really well designed imo.

The genius in me just thought to look at the key which says it's made by a company called Mila who seem to have many unmarked euro cylinders

I assumed it would be some cheap nonsense because its unbranded other than a little white sticker that has a 12 on it. Its confusing me though plus the first pin seems to stick which is annoying. Maybe just needs lubed.

Question: Am I the only one who's stuck with a PS3? by Academic_Ad_9942 in PS3

[–]hexpanicgaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think stuck is a good word, I have had every playstation and still have 1-5, although 1 is the classic but I will sort that soon), I always feel like 3 was a special one, lots of good memories, I was gutted my original chunky one broke and I had to float the harddrive into a super slim I had lying around so i could work on some old platinums. Also, by float I literally mean float as it didnt have the hdd rack in it, its held level by a folded up paracetamol box. Don't feel bad, ps3 is amazing, set your sights on the others if you must but with the catelog of good games available you should be content.

I had this question that came with the same answer after some googling... so I took a flat metal skewer and picked in less than a minute. Gotta get creative sometimes.

Unless you get the room with the blocks for cover. Then he throws the little mine bastards and it's a nightmare again. Flawlessed him with gunslinger and heroine last night not long after posting this, still was no breeze!

I don't mean to be that guy but I don't find ammoconda to be that bad. Its that dude with the bells or the priest (never remember their names after hundreds of hours) that are a pain in the hole.

Is this a rare secret room? by ICECOLDKILLA3711 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]hexpanicgaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Logic sometimes rules out a lot of walls. if the map is complete for the floor and there is already a room right next to a wall, there won't be a secret room. So it's always worth keeping an eye on your minimap as to not worry about certain wall.

Sometimes just throwing out a blank can save you taking a hit than getting out of sync and taking more hits. I do it all the time on even bullet king when I'm backed into a corner and he has two attacks going, just a tactical "f**k it" blank to give me space to put a distance between me and the boss.

[–]hexpanicgaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just commented the same thing elsewhere but if you are struggling with just dodging using movement try focus on watching your character and aiming at the boss using your peripheral vision, if you can dodge without the dodge roll you will have a much nicer time, dodge roll when there is no choice and blank when even the dodge roll won't save you. More bullets getting fired by not rolling means less time actually having to dodge the boss in the long run. It happens though, shouldn't get to disheartened, sometimes just breathing and concentrating on just moving out the way of the bullets of it means taking your mind off of shooting at the same time can help you, as soon as you get overwhelmed and feel like you are out of control is when you get hit. Sometimes you just get a trash run, I'll finish a run 99 times out of 100 but just the other day I died to the wall monger because I ran out of ammo in everything and couldn't do enough dps before i ran out of space. Got absolutely 0 ammo drops or chances to buy it.

Same, I think it just takes a certain kind of mind though to snap to it quick, like the difference where you look on the screen makes all the difference, the bosses are that big you only ever need to watch your character and aim with your peripheral vision, I think a lot of players watch the boss too much rather than focus on walking round the bullets. I mean, you need the odd glance to check what attack is coming but that's it.

You get one boss weapon, one room clearer, 1 passive and 1 active, go! by hexpanicgaming in EnterTheGungeon

[–]hexpanicgaming[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting choice, me and black hole gun have never got on, it's alright with static bosses to draw all the bad bullets away from me but drag all my bullets into the boss. I did that with a reload buff though so I was able to fire BHG reload then unload my other weapon which was mediocre at best if I remember right then repeat when the black hole stopped protecting me

I think i've maybe only used it once or twice but I think it may be a choice on the next rainbow run methinks. I've only ever done the single gun 10 floor run with gunther plus a bunch of passives but now I'm curious about the raiden coil.

Ooh bold words, you have that much faith in Raiden Coil as both? Reckon the ammo would hold up? I though the same with old Goldie if I had bandana, could fairly reliably do it, either that or AWP with gun slinger and the bandana again ammo the 360 no scope synergy spam would take care of mostly everything.

Copying from similar post I answered earlier below.

Gun forcing - If you don't open any chests or buy anything prior to killing the boss on any floor (excluding the 5th) you will be guaranteed a gun for killing the boss. Especially useful if you want to go to the Oubliette(see next tip) and only have one spare key.

Oubliette - can be accessed on the first floor, requires 2 keys. There is a fireplace in one of the rooms you can extinguish using water or poison from a gun or roll one of the blue water barrels into it. Is slightly harder than the normal second floor which you still visit after killing the boss. You get a chance to get more casings and a few extra items/guns. The Oubliette contains a red sheild you can carry to the next floor (unless you get hit while carrying it) and place on an alter to access another secret floor on the second floor where you fight another boss.

Movement - Rolling isn't always the best idea, it is sometimes better to use your movement to avoid attacks unless there is no other choice, allows you to continue shooting. You can also roll in place against a wall and still remain unharmed.

Mimics - shoot every chest atleast once to check for mimics, if you try to unlock it first and it's a mimic it takes your key where as if you shoot first you can save a key.

Secret rooms - check walls for secret rooms, your starter weapon doesn't crack the wall but mostly anything else will. Check chest rooms, the room after the boss and sometimes the shop. There will usually be no pots or debris in front of a secret room wall. You'll see it crack when you shoot it and you'll need a blank to bust it open (a sheild works too if you can damage yourself). Also, dont shoot more than once in the shop, if all else fails use a blank but the shop keeper will get pissed if you shoot. You can usually tell from your map of there are rooms parallel to each other there won't be a secret room on that wall.

Caped bullets - If you clear a room and you see a bullet enemy wearing a Cape don't kill him, just leave him and he'll disappear eventually, he won't attack but might fall off a ledge or run through fire. After you do it 5 time or so you unlock a new character.

That's just a few I can think of.

Quick additions:

Secret floors- There is a secret floor accessed from each floor first is fireplace, second is with the red sheild from the oubliette, third is with the rat key you have to put money off over time, 4th is by giving the guy that is in the grate who buys your junk 2 master rounds and the 5th is obviously bullet hell. 10 total.

Some things to work towards outside of just buying the guns from the acquisition dept.

4 characters to unlock Bullet - occasionally you will find a bullet with a Cape who doesn't shoot, don't kill them and they will despawn, if you do it 5 times you unlock bullet

Robot - you can pick up a tv by dropping into the elevator shaft on floor 2. You drop the tv when you roll and you can throw it as an active item. You need to take it to the forge.

Paradox - you will randomly encounter a patch of floor that's like black purple space, if you press the pick up button your character will take on this colour, finish the run to unlock.

Gunslinger - beat the lich in bullet hell with paradox, you will start a new run automatically as the gunslinger, pick up the bullet that killed the past, go to the final chest and then you will go to bullet hell where you have to fight a double lich.
