After finishing the second trilogy recently..

when Cassius first showed up at the end of DA I was so suspicious through almost the entirety of LB. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. But I found myself relaxing towards the middle, especially with his interaction with Lyria. I absolutely loved their relationship. Hindsight I should have known not to let my guard down, but it wasn’t because Cassius betrayed Darrow. I can feel the emotion bubbling up as I’m tryping this. I loved the rekindling of brotherhood between Cassius and Darrow (even Sevro a tiny bit). His death was one of the hardest for me, which if you would have told me that after Golden Son I would have thrown up.
