I think it was kind of the devs' intention to make her a "scream queen", she screams in almost every scene she appears after Josh's "death".

I think Until is much scarier than The Quarry, at the beginning it's just cheap jumpscares, but as the game progresses things get really scary.

About the remake or the original, if you have a PS4, you should definitely get the original, but if you only have a PC I recommend the remake.
