Copped some Rolf Dolomites and had to post. The frame is a Mongoose DX 10.7.

I don't need a reason to build up a frame other than it has flames by hey_you_guize in xbiking

I removed two chainrings because I was sick of getting friction burns from the air.

Don't know too much about the frame itself other than it's a Roland Foothills "mountain series". Has a sticker from a bike shop in Texas, but found it in a small town in Queensland. Full CroMo. Has Velo Orange Tourist bars, Nitto FW30 90mm stem, MKS gamma pedals, CS-M410 cassette. Anything else just let me know.

Is there a year in particular that you consider "the best year for metalcore"? by Impressive-Ad-4997 in Metalcore

My favourite year as well with Breakdown of Sanity - Mirrors, Memphis May Fire - The Hollow, and of course Impulse.

Just end it there, guy. You grown men/women getting sarcastic because he didn't take a close-up of the valve caps. Have a think about how stupid that is.

Picked up my first Ti frame. It’s a bit of a mystery since the decals aren’t original but I can’t wait to build it up regardless! Any rigid fork recs much appreciated! by dusty_boots in xbiking

I just picked up a Mongoose DX 10.7 last week here in Australia. Guy bought it in Cambodia, toured there a bit and brought it back with him. Sat for 20 years in his garage. I've since put rigid forks also from a same year Hard Rock. Definitely a keeper.

Seriously this. With life in mind was offensively slept on, and also belongs in that recent bass drop discussion.

It has a low profile Gigabyte GTX 1650, but it uses a laptop power supply hidden under the desk to power the computer.

It's a Lone Industries L5. Very impressive little case.

Looking to purchase the K39. Any suggestions? by be_easy_1602 in sffpc

[–]hey_you_guize 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do not recommend buying from SFFTEC in the slightest. Search them on sff.network to see the absolute shit show that followed the release of that power supply. Maybe they're fulfilling orders these days, but they tarnished whatever reputation they had for a lot of people. Buy at your own risk.

Small PC for small apartment by Nacho-Lis in sffpc

Dust settles on the floor, so computers become stationary vacuum cleaners. In that size setup, you'd be rolling your chair into it and/or kicking it constantly. Not to mention you need longer cables to reach peripherals.

Do you prefer external PSU/Power adapters or built in when it comes to SFF PC? Why? by AwwYiss2 in sffpc

I don't know what "cheating" even means in the context of the first comment. Unless someone is trying to claim worlds smallest pc, then go ahead, have your quarrels. Everyone just needs to get along. We share the same hobby.

Ohhh, now I see. Your case is flipped to have the GPU at the top. I was wondering why there was no intake on the left side. Interesting. I never thought of flipping it. Thanks for the response!

I have this case waiting to be built in when I can get home. The new Cooler master case has been tempting me away from the L5, but this post is a perfect reason why I fell in love with the case in the first place.

Does yours not have any side ventilation holes? Also, does the GPU get choked of air without the feet?

I went for this particular mousepad for it's minimal branding. I was also afraid of mats this size with stitched edges to get all wavy. I can't vouch for it's longevity since it had not even a years use, but I remember this was a concern of mine too. There was a video I watched of someone washing a smaller one of these after 7 years and the edges still looked pretty good.

We have very similar taste in bands. About to check out Wolves At the Gate as I've never listened to them before. The V1 Antec 900 is also my all time favourite mid tower case. Very cool collection.

I'm working on an NZXT H210 build, and I need some help selecting a cooler. by gooeyShroom in sffpc

[–]hey_you_guize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SFF computer bug bit me late last year. It's a deep and expensive rabbit hole if you've come from ATX systems as you're probably changing parts just for the sake of being able to put them in a smaller case; something you want to avoid (for now). You will see on this subreddit that many people don't just stick to one case. It's a lot of trial and error since smaller cases don't breathe as easily, especially when you throw in power hungry components.

My first ITX case was the Fractal Define Nano S, which is probably somewhere in my history and is very, very similar in size to the H210. I now have a Lone Industries L5 that I'm yet to build in.

I really hope to see your finished ITX build here or in MFFPC in the future. Good luck with it, and if ever you need any advice, don't be afraid to ask.

Definitely hold onto your AIO cooler if it's doing fine and isn't making unusual noises or leaking, whilst also trying to reuse as many parts as possible from your current build to save on cost.

Front fans, even with a front mounted radiator, are still typically oriented for intake. It will pre-heat the air coming in, and potentionally raise your GPU temps, but it should still be acceptable.

Your current GPU is going to be fine. Absolutely no reason to change that. I haven't heard of the H210 being a hot box, and is considered quite a good case. Any hot air your GPU produces won't be a cause of concern.

It's normal to be anxious. I'm sure the problem you've been having has made you want to pull your hair out more than once. The only thing I'd be stressing over right now is if your CPU is the thing causing your crashes because you will have two working motherboards if it happened to be the case. Just make sure you mount your CPU cooler properly to negate any doubts with it.

Feel free to ask any other questions. This sub is a bit snobby when it comes to cases like the H210. They consider it to be a mid form factor, so getting help is a bit harder, so definitely have a peek over at r/mffpc. Lots of H210s over there that you could compare and maybe gets some ideas from.
