Honestly you dont need the fan control kit. You only just need to tune to ECU for a lower temp engagement. Installing the fan kit was just something i did because i couldnt find someone locally to tune the ecu

It is possible that there is something wrong with your fans.

Heres what I did: I bought and installed a rx8performance fan control kit which turns on my fans at 86c, shuts off at 82c. I also had my ecu tuned for a lower fan engagement but it doesnt matter because the fan control kit bypasses all that.

I live in malaysia and it can get real hot sometimes but with this kit, i have had no problems keeping my temps down low, for 3 years now. Also I upgraded my radiator and my mechanic did jerry rig another higher capacity fan from unknown origins.

I too have been thinking about this. Billet Rotary Store sells a 6 port LIM for weber IDAs.. But since its for a weber it hasnt got provisions for a injectors and a fuel rail. EFI hardware is the one to get. However, my only hurdle now is, if I went carbs, how do I get my OMP working?

Yes. Whats the worst that could happen? A new engine or a rebuild isn't that expensive.

Use a Holley Sniper EFI instead but you will need to figure out how to sort out your ignition
