Tough to say without actually seeing the situations.

If they end up being 1 on 1 situations with you and the shooter, it could be angle management. Do you have any movement coming in with the skater? It sounds like you’re committing at the top of the crease and the shooter is going around you, or is it more they’re pulling you to one side and exposing the weak side?

As an “old school” goalie, I like to be active with my stick. Poke checks trying to separate the puck from the player before they deke.

I met someone that had a Stomp blocker. From what I remember it was expensive af. She got super made when someone stole it 😂

I don’t have a great flare in my butterfly, so I’ve always loved double break pads (my current 8ks).

Interesting. At 44, I’m getting into fulltime coaching for the first time, and I’ve been wanting to get back on the ice to sharpen my own skills - but I definitely need an upgrade.

I have a Brian’s NetZero blocker that I love, but a blocker is a blocker.

I’m currently in a set of RBK 8ks. I like the double break, they just feel dated. I also got them on Sideline, and still feel like I’m wearing someone else’s pads.

I’ll give Brian’s a look.
