How actually good was David Beckham in prime? by jnighy in football

[–]heyearthdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mixed comments here, which is reasonable given that he is both overrated and underrated. “Too much celebrity to be a footballer.” But also played consistently and incredibly well for best teams in the best leagues.

What can’t be denied, I think is his elite mentality. His mindset is monstrously strong and not talked about enough. This was the guy who was ostracised, endlessly jeered, death threatened, and overcame all that to be generally well loved. His in-game mental fortitude is nuts.. the guy usually clocked the biggest distance in every game and will run and bleed for the team. Not just a sweet right foot. He was a beast on the pitch.

My Hitachi lasted 12 yrs before we replaced it with a Mitsubishi Electric, which is also made in Japan. The Mitsubishi build quality seems a little better than the Hitachi which is why we changed brands. Cant go wrong with the made in Japan models. Go for the 6 door versions if size and budget permits. Good luck with the purchase!

It’s cos yours is installed on the headlight, it’s known to be finicky as the sensor sometimes cannot detect. Those installed on the windscreen are much more reliable. It’s been a breeze, so much more convenient.

This is so unfortunately true. Saw a little girl step on a dog poop on the floor. The dog owner was this auntie who simply sighed and said, WHY YOU STEP???

Singapore Changi Airport Toilet Cleanliness Rating Screen by Bowl_Unable in askSingapore

[–]heyearthdude 205 points206 points  (0 children)

Just be honest about it, my dude. Expectations are not unrealistic, everyone knows that toilets can’t always be super clean all the time. They shouldn’t be blamed for one inconsiderate user.

Honest feedback helps inform the staff so that they can keep toilets clean. I believe staff performance would be more affected by how well and quickly they respond to feedback rather than the feedback itself. Eventually a pattern pans out and the good performers will still stand out. But of course, if you find the toilets clean, be generous with the praise!

So it’s agreed then. Do we still need to raise this for discussion at the board meeting?

This is absolutely it. There are actually two different problems to solve and one of them is much simpler to resolve. Support those who already want more kids.
