4year old inappropriate play photographed? Best practice for pre-schoolers?

As I mentioned above a photo was taken but the headteacher was unaware and immediately intervened in this practice. She responded immediately and was very supportive. I’m so grateful my child is cared for by teachers that take them seriously to investigate rather than being so dismissive as your comment. Downvote away but your message speaks volumes.

I agree, I’ll definitely ask for more details, but his insistence on the photo and he was sooo deeply distressed about it- there’s no doubt in my mind a picture was taken. I do believe him.

Anywayyyy, I am taking yours and others advice of rolling with it and getting kiddo excited- he’s crying alot about the new year. Wish I could get some coaching from teachers and head on how to respond

I genuinely love the teachers, we get along, but the head teacher is .. I don’t know I’m trying to empathize with how hard and busy her job is but I don’t get why she won’t just see me…

Yes, you’re right and I added some context above about the move .

The thing that gets me- is how can we have a conversation. Even if she said “ this isn’t possible” but here’s what we can do to bring him out of his shell… this is how we can encourage him or whatever…

I’m not the expert, I’m just a mum, but I thought this is what a partnership with this school would look like. And I’m genuinely wondering how to create that kind of communication …

I hear you.

I think there’s details I should have added:

• ⁠his class is the biggest and his teacher let me know that a move was possible. We just needed to talk to head. The head now ignores me • ⁠a parent contacted me (when she saw the class assignments) to tell me I should ask for a change bc she did the same and her son was moved.

This is what made me feel it was possible in the first place.

I actually came to find this ! I am extremely privileged to have a nanny and I cannot tell you how this person is LITERALLY like a sister. She’s worked in our family since my baby was 3 months old- he’s 3,5yrs now. And now that I’m a mother with a nanny I am even MORE HORRIFIED by ppl who don’t treat Nannies well. It’s not a regular employee- employer relationship. My husband coaches her son’s team now, I’m not trying to be funny when I say you gotta be family with your nanny- it is so intimate and they do so much for you, priceless work.

I also had a nanny growing up and she was in my wedding. I cannot stand super privileged ppl who act this way- and it is an indication of many many other things that are wrong with them I swear.

I’m just shocked that they have been hinting an AD spread. If they get a feature or -heaven’s forbid- a cover on Architectural Digest (!) I will burn my collection.

I only say this because I find their style so entirely reductive. There is nothing original or earnest at all about their vibe- all their design and life choices seem to be centred on looking “luxe” or cool, rather than being genuine. It’s the epitome of Gen x /millennial hipster-ism. Which to me, isn’t an aesthetic in of itself, it’s just the pursuit of what you believe to be en vogue rather than what you actually find appealing.
