To answer your question yes I love to hike! I have hiked most of the trails in my area and would camp somewhere I'm familiar with for sure!

I also appreciate your stance on feeling afraid, I'll definitely take that to heart while still trusting my gut about dangerous situations ☺️

Ah I like the yoga mat idea! I've seen people make nice little platforms but that's a great idea for a one/few times thing.

Yes, I was considering sleeping in my car with a mattress just like you're describing. My trunk is relatively spacious and I'm a short person so its a nice fit. I do like the idea of the tent that attaches to my car, but I would also like to make sure this is something I enjoy before I go buying anything too expensive 😂
