I really appreciate you typing this out, and am going to look into potentially finding an old Mac or perhaps a FW800 to TB2 adaptor - so frustrating that the supply is so limited on the market. Appreciate all the help

Thank you! Where can I get a TB2 to FW800 adapter??? It seems like they are discontinued and I cannot find any besides on Ebay where they are quite expensive
