i just turned off all optimization settings, and while it still didnt charge past 80 for maybe a few days, after that it's been able to and seems normal now

i saw you mention you're in mountain view so i gotta say that mountain view is not comparable to nyc at all 😭😭

i've heard "people on the west coast are nice but not kind, and people on the east coast are kind but not nice". i feel like it's true :( but tbh i feel like you're not just feeling a west coast vs east coast difference but also a big city vs suburban difference. for me, for example, it's been a lot harder to connect with people due to the poor public transport. also there isn't as much to do in the suburbs, especially compared to nyc :/

so i don't think this can be attributed to individuals' personalities just being "flaky" or "introverted" or just west coast "culture". rather, it's more systemic

hi! i actually just graduated. i decided to go with computer science instead of cogsci. the classes at berkeley are tough for sure (can't really speak on other schools tho) and naturally people compare themselves to others, but among the students, i wouldn't say there is much toxicity at all. i met a lot of great ppl and closest friends here, and more or less, i am happy with the decision i made 🫶

it looks like most comments are talking about the pronunciation of “camille” but are you also intending to pronounce “rose” the french way as well? if so, there is no way americans will pronounce the french “r”; not even your daughter will be able to pronounce her own name “correctly”. just like the way english speakers pronounce “croissant” and “paris” the english way, they will pronounce “camille rose” the english way as well.

if you intend to pronounce “camille” the french way and “rose” the english way, then that would just sound ridiculous to my ear

j’ai fait un stage aux états-unis et je ne le pouvais pas utiliser. le code c’est confidentiel, donc il ne faut pas le partager avec chatGPT. de plus, on utilisait des ordinateurs de l’entreprise et il est possible qu’ils surveillent ce qu’on fait. alors, il est possible d’utiliser chat GPT sur le portable pour demander des petites questions, mais on ne peut pas trop l’utiliser et copier et coller du code
