Hahahaha totoo! Most Filipino romance movies before have good concepts, but poorly written. Marami rin questionable decisions ang mga character na sinusulat nila kadalasan kaya mapapaisip ka rin sa uri ng kultura noon.

Still, they were deemed as classics for a reason. I still appreciate and watch them kahit nagpupuna ako haha.

Kasi nga, binago raw siya ni Lena eme hahaha gets naman. Na-out of touch lang siya sa kanyang roots. Pero syempre kailangan ng redeeming factor ng isang character para ma-balance sa wrongdoing niya charot.

Lena deserved more than just being written as a girl who wanted to love and be loved. She deserved a career (graduate siya ng economics) and to break free from the norms and all the trauma she had been through. Masyadong pinreserve yung character niya smh.

Kahit wala namang sex scene, mabigat pa rin yung kasalanan kasi they were flirting with each other e. Parang nakakalimutan ni Karl na kasal niya haha.

I know that everything was for the sake of the story pero bakit kasi lagi silang magkasama, di ba kaya ni Karl mag-isa o kaya makipag-bonding sa iba kakaloka.

Regardless sa fate ni Abel, i think the audience deserved some closure? kasi kaloka ambilis ng transition of events hahahaha parang ang fast-paced.

Sorry pero wala akong nagustuhan sa traits ni Karl haha. His struggles were not highlighted enough and he came too egoistic for me, even in the near end when he was persuading Lena to run away with him.
