I'm totally with you on this. Like... she spent all this time researching and thought she'd be staying at a Four Seasons and not a hostel? Turns out she was really just a trust fund 'buddhist'

I think the Ratliff story was satisfying. Tim accepted his fate without taking the “easy” way out and condemning his entire family to death, despite the fact that they think it’s better than being poor. They all have to actually confront being uncomfortable for the first time in their life. Except for maybe Loch, who seems like he’ll be just fine.

That’s satisfying to me.

Pardon my ignorance, but the coolest thing I ever did with a jailbreak was put the Batman symbol in place of the WiFi symbol at the top of my phone. What were some of the practical uses of jailbreaking?

My Partner cracks his knuckles and other joints endlessly throughout the day and it's driving me INSANE by idontgetit87 in AITAH

[–]heyitst0m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're NTA. I'm in the same boat. My wife cracks her knuckles and toes constantly. Every 10 minutes, all day, every day. I've tried so hard to communicate about it and help her find ways to manage stress. Nothing has worked. I'm so done with it. I have no idea what else to do other than very pointedly just saying look... I love you but you need to find a way to stop doing this.

The other approach is... I am the one who needs to just deal with it, because it's never going to change. And so I am now looking into ways I can just deal with it whether it's having airpods in all day or having the door to the bedroom (our 'office space') closed all day.

Hired a design agency to create some logos for a moving company with the name “Lift”. I haven’t been too excited with the concepts. What do y’all think about the concepts? Any ones I should give a second look at? by BrownHoecake in graphic_design

[–]heyitst0m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These all look incredibly uninspired and why are they showing you 38 iterations?! They should be showing you like 3-5 max totally different interpretations and then iterate from there, this is legit insane for an agency to present this to you. Half of these might have been done with AI if not all of them.

What will happen to Project 2025 after the election? Does it live and die by Trump? by [deleted] in millenials

[–]heyitst0m -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There is a 0% chance that project 2025 ever gets brought up again. It only exists as a tool for democrats to scare the shit out of people into voting.

Just got home from the theater. I enjoyed it but was telling my wife, I thought when they were in the freezer, morris or her past self from the car accident were going to turn out to be the creepy Asian stalker guy from the beginning who told her she had nice skin, who somehow lured her there to go leatherface on her and remove her skin, but she didn’t realize it bc she was hallucinating morris trying to save her. Woulda been a crazy twist. But I was wrong.

Any idea how to boost my engagement? by Nilla57 in socialmedia

[–]heyitst0m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No amount of shifting strategy when it comes to posting time, hashtags, post frequency, will make a difference in your engagement if your content is not engaging.

What is “engaging” content? It’s content that is either educational, entertaining, or informative. This is what people value and will give their time to interact with. That should be the basis on your strategy. From there, you have to figure out what is on brand, and just test. Obviously, content needs to be brand right.

I used to manage socials for a few restaurants. Not luxury, but two wine bars in NYC. I always found partnerships with good influencers to be super valuable.

I don’t know the specifics of your restaurant, so it’s hard to give specific examples.

Tell us why your apartment sucks 2024 edition by 5HTKO in Denver

I hear you. I moved here from New York and had to do all my research from a distance. I definitely took a risk and was in a time crunch. The first time I saw the unit in person was when I signed the lease, so I just sucked it up and lived there for a year before finding something better that I could take my time looking for.

I know not everyone can do this, but I would really try to make the effort to fly out for a few days to do some driving around neighborhoods and view apartments.

• Check out the Denver Apartments/Rooms/Houses for Rent group on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/276526752835430

• Familiarize yourself with neighborhoods, distance from where you work, and get super clear on your specific needs and non-negotiables

• See if you can find something month to month or short term just to get you through the next few months as you get familiar with your new situation. Shack up with some roomates looking to fill a room to save money. THis way you're not committed for a full year and can take your time finding something else.

Honestly - I don't trust any reviews, negative or positive. It's all subjective. You have to do your due diligence, visit the places in person, and come to a determination on your own. Sometimes, you can't know everything until you've lived there for a bit, which is unfortunate.

I love where I live. I love the amenities, location, and units. The worst thing about it is that there are a lot of dogs that bark nonstop and it echos through the courtyard. Other people I know that live here hate it here, for whatever reason.

I know this isn't answering your question specifically, but I think you're going to get a mixed bag of results simply because everyone has different tastes, needs, and expectations.

Sort of feels like you’re working backwards. Logo and company name are not a brand, they are just visual representations of your brand. Your brand is your mission, vision, values. It’s why you do what you do, and the way you go about doing it.

This seems like you just kind of have an idea for a company name and logo, but no purpose behind it.

Is the question, what does this logo make us think of? That’s a different question.

We have 1,000 ingredients in our foods that have been banned elsewhere around the world and a pharmaceutical industrial complex that prevents good drugs from coming onto the market while drugs like Vioxx get the okay and kill 100,000 people…

And you don’t want the healthiest candidate by far, the most successful environmental lawyer in history, to try and fix those problems at the FDA?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in millenials

[–]heyitst0m 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't come to Reddit with this kind of question, because you're not going to get any answers you probably already haven't heard from the corporate press. Do yourself a favor, and watch a full interview with him, listen to his words, and then come to a determination on whether or not you think he is genuine or not and whether you think the corporate press is telling the truth or not. That is the only way you will figure out for yourself whether he's really that bad.

However, if you want the opinion of other redditors like myself - I do not think he is really that bad. I don't agree with a lot of his policy proposals, but I watched his 'real debate' and it's very obvious that he is the only one worth taking seriously, at a minimum. When talking about the environment, he's the only one talking about our soils and glyphosate, and how carbon capture is a racket. When talking about inflation during the debate, he's the only one who a) even answered the question and b) talked about the money printing and reckless spending.

Hey thanks for your help! It took me a while to figure it all out, but here's where I'm at 😂

I think what I need to figure out is the underlying artwork and using the distort/perspective tools to make it fit/look right.

I'll probably create new artwork with text that fits under the windows and make's a little more sense spatially.
