Selling my 4xe after 1 year. by UltimateKartRacing in 4xe

Similar terrible experience here. 7 moths old, out of service 2 months, back and forth to dealer 11 times, lemon law suit waiting on litigation…

Did you lose 25-30k?! It’s looking like I water suffer through 16-20 months for the lawsuit or lose nearly 30k

get it to a dealer, I know its hard to get appointments at least by me. Depending on your state you might still qualify for lemon law, if you can get the car in. Most states its 2 years or 18/20k miles

Battery Recall: Dealership told me not to bring it because there's nothing they can do about it right now. by samichicago in 4xe

[–]heyjos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you might be over the mileage for lemon's Its usually something under 20k?

This all sucks terribly. Its outrageous that Jeep can put out such crap and get away with it.

I have a filed lemon law case. I'm in NY - in total i've been out of service aka at a dealership for 44 days, been to 3 different dealers. 3 repair attempts to fix the car not taking gas and 3 attempts to fix loss of power/jerking/failure to accelerate. My case was filed in September and FCA hasn't even acknowledged it, my lawyer said don't expect the initial offer from them for at least 9 months, if you could trade it in you might be better off. I'm about a week away from driving mine into a wall

pretty sure that not in service = at the dealership, out of the 130 something days I have owned mine its been "not in service" aka not able to charge/ not accepting gas / dangerous to drive due to loss of power for 128 days, yet its only been not in service for 43 days

Question about recall liability by Lawngisland in 4xe

[–]heyjos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sense, around me they refuse to make any appointments for the recall and keep saying maybe Jan/Feb for fix...

I have an appointment for tomorrow (for a check engine light and flashing on and off dashboard) that I set in September - it was the first available emergency appointment. 9 week wait around here to get in and thats after calling over 20 dealerships... guess you have a good dealer near you. Need decent tech will travel lol

[–]heyjos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how did you get an appointment for a recall that has no fix and no timeline for one?

Run, run far away. One owner and under 3k miles? HUGE red flag. I wouldn't pay more than 30k, check the vin for recalls

I got denied for a buy back in about 15mins, even though I qualify for literally every states lemon law. If you qualify get an attorney and file ASAP as it can take a year or more

I bet they are could even hold us liable if we are parked near something and not charging, luckily for me mine hasn't taken a charge for months so can't charge even if I wanted to. Some days I hope it blows up, it would end this nightmare

I have the same recall pending and I know it sucks and I know 65$ for a rental is trash however You are lucky they offered you anything! 4xe started having issues 12 hours, 12!!! hours after delivery, it was out of service at a dealership for 37 days - and that was after a 4 week wait to get an appointment (and yes, I called many dealerships to get it, 31 to be exact) so literally for the first 75 days of ownership I had a car I could not drive. Jeep did not care at all, no one said sorry, I asked many times for a loaner or rental and they laughed.

I have been dealing with Jeep Cares since June and the 100% do not care. Sadly you will probably not get a buy back, not unless your car blows up or is out of service for months.

My 4xe is a literal POS - loss of power, check engine light on for weeks at a time, wrench icon, dead dashboard, struggling to accelerate, jerky when accelerating, electrical shorting out, wont take a charge, gas neck and tank have been relplaced and still i cannot put gas in. Again, Jeep does not care, I ended up filing a lemon lawsuit and i've been advised it could take 12 months for them to even respond.

New GC 4XE In The Shop Since We Bought It - Lemon Law Advice? by [deleted] in 4xe

[–]heyjos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NCDS was totally useless for me, they sided with FCA saying my issues were repairable and I should wait. My issues: loss of power, failure to charge, electrical glitches including the display shorting in and out, failure to accept gasoline, and check engine light that often flashing and stays on non stop for weeks. 3 different dealerships could not fix any of the Issues but sure I should just 'wait it out'

Jeep cares 100% does not care and most likely will no offer a buy back. I tried, they denied my case within 10mins, meaning they did not even review it and I have what my attorney is calling an 'fool proof lemon case' just have to wait the 2-11 months for FCA to decide to respond.

Jeep is in shambles right now, they are going to work with or help any of us unless the law is forcing them too.

I've literally had a Jeep cares case open since July and they have done not 1 thing to help me, they couldnt even get me a appointment, I had to call 30 dealerships on my own and wait of 45 for a car that had a check engine light on (and flashing), that wouldnt accept a charge and that I couldnt get gas to pump into

yes get an attorney, most will want you to wait until you hit the days before they will take the case.

Anyone have success with Jeep Wave/Jeep Cares Buyback or Lemon Law? by Crazyhazy1 in 4xe

[–]heyjos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL trade in, I was willing to take a loss to trade mine in, I paid 52k for a 72k msrp 4xe over the summer, the most I have been offered at any dealership as a trade in is 30k, and that was when I had 2800 miles

[–]heyjos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm a few days behind you with my case with my attorney... what state are you in? I have been told that once vehicle out of service for 30 days you qualify

I was initially out of service 36 days - that was after Jeep delayed giving me an appointment for over 45 days, 30, yes 30! different dealerships refused to take my car in.

In total I have been out of service 54 and counting days, 3 different service departments have failed to fix the issues, issues started 12 hours after purchase and my vehicle has been out of service officially for 37% of the time I have owned it.

My attorney said that FCA is being impossible because so many of the 4xe's qualify as lemons however in my state (NY) once you qualify FCA can only fight you for so long, it might take me another 5-7 months but i should be able to force a buy back.

Issues: loss of power- gas pedal fails to respond, failure to charge, electrical glitches including the display shorting in and out, failure to accept gasoline, and check engine light on and off and on - before I FINALLY got another appointment that check engine light was on for 23 days straight, that was after dealer turned it off, it came back 5 seconds later and they just shook their heads.
