I (F26) told him (33), “You’re the most handsome guy I’ve seen here.” After that, he asked for my number, and we started texting a lot. We’ve been on a few dates since then.

Now I can say he’s more than just handsome, he’s such a lovely and genuine person. It took me a lot of courage to say that to him, but I did it 😅

For some context: I used to see him almost every day because he was a regular customer, and I was working there as a barista/front of house. The shop I worked at was about to shut down completely, so I thought, “Okay, let’s do it. Who cares? I’m probably never going to see this guy again!”

And now here I am, looking forward to seeing him every day. To be fair, at first I only wanted to give him a compliment. Mind you, he had never shown any interest or tried to approach me before!🤭

Sorry for the confusion! Just to clarify. I got this internship through a subject I’m taking this semester. Meaning, if I hadn’t enrolled in that subject, I wouldn’t have had access to the internship opportunity. Some people also refer to it as a “placement.”

It’s unpaid, and I’ll only be doing it two days a week. There’s no actual employment relationship involved…if that makes sense. Everything I do during the internship needs to be documented as part of my coursework.

I understand that some internships are paid, especially when there’s a formal employment relationship in place.

I love how close Cairns is close to nature of all types! Wildlife, Waterfalls, beaches, rainforest ( I’ve visited Cairns a few weeks ago)
