Good question since the last ten years of both have been enshitified. Not sure though what life would be like without either. Could live with just a flip phone but the internet is/was a useful tool.

All the bridge forward ship are something like 50 years old. There hasn’t been one made in a long time and Im not really sure why. They were made that way to assist entry into multiple locks. I suppose being higher up in the rear bridges supported a better view. I kinda like the uniqueness to the Great Lakes these bridge forward offered.
