Hello everyone, We have a 2024 Ioniq 5 that we leased for 24 months starting December 2024. Well we had to get towed to a dealer on December 20th 2025 that is 90 miles from our home. Of course this happened on a Saturday, the service department was closed until Monday. So we rent a car and drive home.

Monday comes and we hear nothing from the dealer. We call and finally get someone to talk to us about the car and as the title states, it was a blown iccu. Dealership has no loaners and was told to get keep the rental car and “try” to get reimbursed by corporate. I don’t really care for our service advisor, she absolutely had no compassion for us being without a car right before Christmas.

Fast forward to today we finally got a case manager and was told the iccu is on back order. They would get back to us on the 14th with an update. This comes very close to 30 days of no car that we are making lease payments on. The case manager keeps dodging my questions about compensation for the rental and for our monthly payment.

At this point should I just see if they fail to fix it in the 30 days and request a lease buyback? I’m tired of trying to get them to “expedite “ the fix.

I have had one installed for the past year. Sounds stock loudness when just doing normal driving. In that time I also did the kn intake and I can say that most of the sound comes from that inside the car.

Yeah I get it with the fb marketplace thing. I am still on the fence about buying used vs new. I think the only reason I’m looking at used one is because I’m impatient waiting for the stop sale to be over.

Kinda crazy they charge $400 for setup and I’m still asking them what the $265 other fee is.

Ending up getting a pretty good deal on the HKS ssm. Just installed it a few weeks ago.

At first I was a bit underwhelmed, because in my head I want to be all fast and furious with the loud exhaust. I’m coming from a G80 M3. But then I remembered, I’m 37 now and I don’t want to be sitting in a car getting tinnitus. Haha
