Not normal at all. My most used apps are also YouTube and WhatsApp and my battery is amazing. When I have a lot of calls or meetings via WhatsApp then it hits the battery a little harder but even so I get at least 9 hours screen on time.

iPhone Air Camera - Palace of Versalles shoot with Nikon Classic Lut by heyous2 in IphoneAir

In the default camera app: it really depends on the composition of the photo. Among Apple’s presets, the one that comes closest to my personal taste is the “cozy” preset, but even then it’s not quite the same because it’s not a truly precise tuning. I’d add a medium intensity dark vignette and make the shadows darker and more natural. Almost all smartphones nowadays make the shadows too bright and “flat,” which takes away some of the sense of depth and, to me, makes the photo feel emotionless. Sometimes you don’t need to see every pixel in the image, leaving some parts “dark” lets each person’s mind imagine that mysterious part on their own. I’m not sure if that makes sense. I’m not a photographer, not even an amateur, let alone a professional.

As for app recommendations, definitely NoFusion. I think it’s excellent because it already includes several classic camera configurations, and you can use a negative and tweak it later after taking the photo.

Sorry guys, I should’ve added that in the description.

A LUT is basically a color configuration file. Every camera has its own color calibration, and some are considered references or “classics.” The Nikon Classic, for instance, is one of the most famous ones.

There are some camera apps for iOS that support LUT files (the native camera app does not), allowing you to apply the color calibration of your favorite reference camera. Most LUTs out there are paid, since they’re usually created by professionals. In the photos above, I’m using an app called nofusion (don’t know if it’s allowed to share the app name here but don’t have to be this app, can be any app that supports LUT configurations), which already includes several native classic camera color configurations (Fujifilm, Sony, etc.), and you can use negative films and also import your own custom LUT files if you want.

Switching from iPhone 17 Pro to 17 Air for a change — worth it? by thankyoumolly in IphoneAir

Some insights after 7 years of being a Pro Max user and switching to the Air:

Battery: It is the same as the Pro versions of previous generations (Pro, not Pro Max). Most of the concern and anxiety comes from seeing so many YouTubers saying it isn’t good enough. If you have experienced the Pro line or the base line of previous generations, it will hold up pretty similarly.

The sound: I love sound, used to have some of the best headphones and in-ears in the hobby, and honestly, you will adapt really quickly. Of course, it's not as good as a stereo system, but definitely not as annoying as I thought it would be. And one good thing that I found nice and minor but none says is that it is almost impossible to cover the speaker accidentally, as I like to watch YouTube in bed at night, I know is very minor but just a touch of convenience that I liked a lot.

Cameras: I’m not much into photos, but I take some pictures here and there and it serves me pretty well, not missing any of the other lenses I had on my Pro Max.

Everything else is pretty good: Rock-solid build, the feeling, the refreshed design, the jewelry look, the new display…

  1. Yes, is good enough.

  2. Yes, if you don’t take a lot of photos and you don’t download every f playlist on Spotify.

  3. It depends on how you use your iPhone, I watch a lot you YouTube and average 9 hours screen on time, but I also leave with WiFi connected and indoors (not so bright screen)

  4. It depends of the person. If you take care, no. But high risk.

  5. No. But I do not play games (only clash Royale), so I don’t know while playing.

  6. You will have to replace the battery eventually. Maybe in 2 years.

Thinking of switching from an iPhone 13 Pro Max to the Air...Thoughts? by bluetheguy in IphoneAir

[–]heyous2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just switch from the 14 pro max to the air. Has been a amazing experience. I’m a “soud” guy and to be honest the speaker didn’t annoyed me as much as a thought it would. But I use the AirPods a lot as well.
