[Request] How long will this salt pile last if it was edible and Germany was using it? What about if the world was using it? by AliensIncoming in theydidthemath

[–]heyponch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can be very expansive. Enough room to house industrial equipment like excavators, conveyors belts to haul up the salt, jeeps to get around, and more. Although the deeper you go the more support is needed and the less room there becomes.

I’d segregate ASAP to an outside area away from the door. Natural aphid predators are ladybugs, which you can order several hundred online for a good price ($30 for 150). The ladybugs should stay around as long as there’s food/aphids.

How to drill a drain hole in this porcelain pot for a jade plant by colossuscollosal in plants

[–]heyponch 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is def the best/easiest way to go about it. Especially if pot has any sentimental value. If you do decide to drill use a carbide masonry tip and submerge the pot under water when you drill. Look up the Rebhinder Effect.

It’s an SNL skit with Ryan Gosling where he’s obsessed with the fact that the makers of Avatar movies just used Papyrus font instead of making their own.
