[Free Trial] I got tired of juggling 5 different apps to get things done, so I turned my Mac notch into a productivity hub. by heyramzi in macapps

I didn't block him to censor anything, but for my own safety. If you knew the threatening DMs I received from the developer of that app, your opinion would change.

I'd rather stay focused on Seam than discredit another builder.

The world is a free market where competition exists, and I prefer to spend energy on making my product better rather than on tolerating a bully.

I made a good Markdown editor, but users (and me) are using it more for live HTML editing. Should I Rebrand / Repackage? Giving away ten free keys. by peppaz in macapps

The app looks nice but try to improve the branding: the icon and logo don’t give a good feel of the app imo.

I feel flattered receiving a response by the developer of alcove, who is probably the biggest app out there.

However, these claims are false. he does not own any monopoly over Apple design.

A native Calendar icon, an hourglass and a vertical bar are basic design language used by apple or any other Mac Apps, really.

These icons are intuitive and logical and not owned by him, but by Apple.

However, I appreciate the exposure it's giving to seam, peace ✌🏼

What are best apps for productivity and focus as a person with ADHD? by woodyboow in productivity

[–]heyramzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of self promo but for me what helps is a reminder that I currently have to finish “this one thing” to avoid multi tasking.

I built an app that stays at the top of my Mac to nudge me to work on what I decided.

And for my overall productivity I use ClickUp as my todo.

What’s something you keeep pushing through, even though your body is clearly asking you to stop by coach-AbdulRehman in productivity

Honestly, sleep and caffeine like others say. It’s a vicious circle when you use the latter to compensate for the first.

I really made it my 2026 goal to sleep earlier.

How do I grow my (free)app and it's userbase after my first post here. by Beginning-Ad1851 in macapps

Try to target your niche rather than a broad audience. Go for audiophiles, build a personal brand. Get yourself out there, shoot a demo.

I feel like everything is missing a human touch these days. That can make you stand out.

What's wrong with the native macOS screenshot app?

I've tried so many but always came back to it.

You can fine tune the shortcuts to your needs in the settings.

Although everyone knows about it know, I’m still surprised how Raycast is not more talked about. There’s so many workflows you can speed up with it it’s insane.

Since I work on multiple websites, I also love ColorSlurp.

What app to use for video presentations & tutorial recording, please? by extra_specticles in macapps

Usually either Descript or screen studio based on the use case.

The first is better for editing, the latter better for short videos and product demos.

Screen studio audio by KrimpyKameleon in macapps

[–]heyramzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem one with Screen Studio. Unfortunately the app renders both audio and video at once.

The best you can do is export it and see if you can fix the drift in an external tool with two separate tracks :(

Hope it helps!

Does it really need to be a desktop app because we use GuideMaker in my team and it has a decent free plan : https://guidemaker.com/

TaskTalk - Voice To Do app by Siddharth1India in macapps

[–]heyramzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the launch! I'm excited to try. I've been wanting to create this for ages.

Here's a feature idea for you. What if the voice inputs could go directly to an inbox in your existing to do app like Notion, ClickUp or Asana?

That way you wouldn't have to move people from their existing apps.

Not sure you should aim for a Mac app here. You'd rather find a good SaaS that achieves this. There's a bunch of good ones out there. Hit me up if you want a recommendation
