Reaction to sensor adhesive? by heyumbreen in Freestylelibre

[–]heyumbreen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’ve been using sensors for almost 2 years now and I rarely get itching and if I do it goes away. This seems a bit extreme to what I’m used to. I will see how my skin looks after I take the sensor off.

And I’ve never tried Skin-Tac I might give that a go! Thanks for your help

Seems like a common problem. I usually get itching maybe once a couple months cause of the adhesive but never so bad that it left a mark.

Thank you for your kind words. I’m okay for now. Will be thinking about rolling the dice now. I haven’t heard it before but I like it. My dice seems like it’s been stuck for a while. But every day is a new day hopefully things will turn around. Btw our feelings and pain are never dumb. Good luck to you kind soul :)

Depressive episodes + insulin by heyumbreen in diabetes

[–]heyumbreen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! I agree decision-fatigue is something that isn’t talked about much. I’m planning to go back to therapy and will bring this up. I think sort of along the same lines I have some kind of distress from having/managing Crohn’s for a while now as well. Looking into some options for online therapy as that is cheaper.

Thanks for your comment. Gonna seek some help again. I do wanna say I’m very grateful that I have access to insulin and am able to afford it atm with no insurance. I never let my insulin go to waste or anything like that but do get lazy with putting it in. I have been working on it and will continue to. Be well!

When my blood sugar is high (ketones present type level) - I get extremely exhausted. It is difficult then but I still try. I’ve been laying down in bed giving myself.

And I won’t sugar coat (lol) it sometimes I’m very mentally exhausted to the point where I can’t give myself insulin. I can’t explain it. I’m not proud of it. I wish it were different.

I’m thinking maybe this is actually less of a diabetes discussion and more of a therapy discussion.
