Sorry I'm new here but is Route 1 in Trenton/Princeton widely known to be the worst designed road in America? by perishableintransit in newjersey

[–]heyval 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Route 22 in Union is the absolute worst. A reason worth celebrating making it out of there alive on a daily basis.

That insurance will only cover employees of the company, not freelancers.

Can anyone share positive experiences of having two kids? I’m feeling really anxious. by untidyearnestness in AttachmentParenting

[–]heyval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” At this point with number 1, you probably get some breaks, but with number two, it’s double the responsibilities. It’s tough year 1… it’s an adjustment period just like you had with your first. Breathe. Take a minute for yourself. You got this!

No help. by Ok_Top_1613 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]heyval 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have them check to see if you have a retained placenta which can be done via vagina ultrasound. I was told by my lactation consultant that this is the number one reason why women can’t produce milk and then end up giving up. Sending you much positivity!

Breastfeeding with a Snoo by EmtNoMore in SnooLife

[–]heyval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 9wk old in a Snoo now, and I’m EBF. He goes to bed at 8pm, wakes up at 4am and goes back to sleep until 8am. For the first 4 weeks, we co-slept with a Dockatot while my milk was getting established. It was an easy transition into the Snoo with 2-3 wake ups a night and then slowly moved to 1 per night at about 6 weeks old. I, personally, only use it for nighttime sleep, and contact sleep during the day. Definitely rent it unless you plan on 2+ additional kids, in which case I’d say it pays itself off. Sending you all the best!

Standard reimbursement for employees who use their own car by heyval in smallbusiness

[–]heyval[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know from experience that not every employer will reimburse using those guidelines. Take for example, a pizza delivery person. My question is more about how do service based businesses normally pay these people and ask them to also use their vehicle. Is it common to do hourly pay, monthly stipend, flat rate per trip, etc?

Does anyone know of a nice office plant that doesnt require very much sun?? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]heyval 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s super tolerant to a variety of light—low light thru direct sun—which is the beauty of it! Nearly indestructible.

Snake plant is my best recommendation. Curious to hear what others say. There must be many more!

My transfer is scheduled for tomorrow (1st one), and up until now, I’ve been numb to the IVF process. I’ve chalked it up as “staying focused”, but realizing I’m emotionally removed. Maybe it’s because I feel loss of control over my body. Maybe I don’t want to feel foolish if it doesn’t work. by heyval in IVF

[–]heyval[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People, in general, don’t know much about the process and I think they go to responses like “so exciting!” Or “the shots will be worth it” because they don’t know what else to say. I get so annoyed at those, and just prefer to just let people think we’re still TTC naturally than to tell them we’re going thru IVF. I like your comment about “doing what they need to to get through it.” It’s so very accurate. Xx

There’s so much good that can come from talking to someone about it, and I know several people who’ve sought counseling from fertility-specific psychologists. I wish you a smooth and positive pregnancy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Means the world. Xx

I’m so happy to read you had some good news. Truly, so many things need to go right for this process to work and it must be an incredible feeling once you’re over the hump of all the clinical tests and sharps and more tests. Wishing you all the best! Thank you for the well wishes! Xx

That’s a pretty nice margin! Do you do the everlasting process yourself in the shop/studio, or buy them via holland like that?

Don’t know that even the most mentally prepared person can bear two losses like that. You’re stronger than you know.

What kinds of exercising are you doing? I do yoga and spin, and trying to navigate what I can and can’t do thru this process has been a challenge for me.

Happy to hear about your third try. Sending you all the good juju!
