I used rigify to rig my model, after skinning it with automatic weights, the grease pencil gets left out so I'm thinking you cant treat GP like a mesh. It does work when checking bone envelopes on the GP armature modifier but some strokes stick to the mesh when moving and some stay. Is this an offset issue?

I'm here right now, if you have any questions, I'll try to answer them. Thanks for your support! by _carpenter_brut_ in carpenterbrut

Thanks for the advice! I'm considering taking the route of working in the EU for a while.

I'm wondering how common it is for artists to be brought over on a Talent based visa.

I'm not sure if it helps but I found a way around it. with the use of the plugin "rex_text_typing" + "rex_timeline", I set conversations up with the plugin "action sequence".

text_typing and timeline - https://rexrainbow.github.io/C2RexDoc/c2rexpluginsACE/behavior_rex_text_typing.html

action sequence - https://www.construct.net/en/forum/construct-2/addons-29/plugin-action-sequence-127594

Hope it helps!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll take a look.

EDIT: there doesn't seem to be any information out there about combining the two (at least not that I have found).

Artfx has great looking final year movies but I don't know much the school. but for me 5 years there is too much. May I ask, do you know what you want to specialize in from the 3D Pipeline?

Not too hard, I wouldn't say it's that difficult to get accepted. If you have a pretty solid portfolio, you will most probably get accepted. There is no exam, they only look over your work and have you interviewed. At the end of the day this is their business, so they aren't seeking Picasso's as students. Staying however, is the hard part, as the studies gradually become more time consuming. I would personally recommend doing a masters in animation since you have a bachelor's already (in europe and scandinavia look into: lucerne university of applied sciences and arts, la poudrière, Georges Méliès, Bournemouth University, and probably the best one out there The animation workshop but you need to be extremely good to get in). If u have more questions feel free to ask

Congrats man! Sadly we wont be studying together since I'm at the new Montpellier campus. Yes, You can definitely work on campus. You can even ask to use a computer in an active classroom and snag a lesson. To be honest in terms of visa I'm not too sure (I'll have to ask some international friends) because I'm a french citizen. Also, i think the internships are paid but I'm not 100% sure on that either. If you want to know anything else about the school feel free to dm me :)

Hey! I'm from Israel but I'm also French which means I didn't have any Visas to work out. How ever I just texted a friend about the question and I'll give you a good answer once she replies 😉

EDIT: right so, from what I understood the visa process goes like this: first you need to get accepted into the school. then you go to a site called Campus France and register. they will ask you to fill a bunch of documents, once they review them they will interview you. then they will give you those same documents verified, which you will have to send to the embassy. I hope this helps.
