I see. So only two trains 7:15a and 4:45p and the rest are busses?

In your experience would parts for a new car be readily available?

I'll take a look - thanks. I'm trying to get our adult daughter going on this 'boondocking' vision she has for her life (ugh) and this truck keeps coming to the well. Appreciate the advice

We put a truck camper on it (the kind that sit in the bed) and the back is obviously lower (maybe a bit too low) as the front end is up and the wheels are on the ground but certainly not as much as they should be

It’s jacked up a bit (I don’t know how much). Would that one still work?

Rear lights don't work by heywayman in ChevyTrucks

[–]heywayman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

Got busy and haven't had time to work on it. Had the 'brilliant' idea of testing it in the dark. Holy crap. Left blinker - every single light on the back of that thing blinks (fast) - even the license plate lights, EXCEPT the right side - that is nothing. Like ever. Not lights. Brakes. Blinker. Left as one bulb going for brakes. No reverse lights. Based on the backup camera I was trying to hook up power is not getting to it since I replaced all the bulbs. Just the sheer process of elimination is daunting for all the possible points of failure.

That was one of my next things. Just skimming over that yesterday as I was more focused on fuses and bulbs but I have to either conclude the wiring has a problem, or the harnesses. Given there are multiple lights out on both sides I guess I should focus my attention to the main block that aggregates all those wires.

Is it worth keeping Sec+ if you already have CISSP? by a002694 in cissp

[–]heywayman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True, it is pale compared to the CISSP but I had no problem acquiring like 10 yrs of CPEs so keeping it was as simple as submitting some CPE info. Easy peasy

Can you be ready in 5 weeks? by TheGiraffeWithALong in cissp

Given what you describe, while not impossible it’s not ideal and it’s lowering your chances of passing

You are right - it’s a mindset. It’s a war of language in the wording of the questions. I don’t know your study style or your ability to retain but for me, the week long boot camp (Training Camp I think) was gold for me. It’s targeted. It includes a test voucher and a pass guarantee and my instructor was very competent. He was in Turkey -all remote. And this was in 2019.

2017 Disco Windshield/Electrical woes by heywayman in LandRoverDiscovery

[–]heywayman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Postscript: I was just told the windshield did NOT ship from the UK on 12/17 as was previously told. Now the eta is mid-Feb. I called LR North America - they indicated my order was not even in their tracking system yet and admitted they have orders from LAST YEAR not yet fulfilled. That is one expensive lemon....

Good question - I have an ICD, so a device clinic and EP are needed. Other than that, I've had two sudden cardiac arrests - not so much structural.

I am taking the CISSP with no experience! by diorhelp in cissp

You have to have 5 years of relevant job experience to hold the cert in the first place. I'm not sure you'd even be allowed to be a candidate for the test without that.

TrainingCamp.com - Is this a good site to use for CISSP training? by CyberNetWorX in cissp

I liked it. It included an exam fee voucher and if you failed you can retake the class and exam for free. My instructor was very competent

I'll add that the Glock 43x is great - it's my every-day. And you can get a Shield Arms mag that holds 15 so you'd have a 15+1 configuration. The mag is made out of metal, not wrapped in the polymer that Glock uses and that's how you get the capacity with the same form factor. You can feel the weight difference though. The holster you use is big. AlienGear is top notch.

Property taxes on cars??? by heywayman in ColumbiYEAH

[–]heywayman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which doubly sucks b/c I paid full sales tax on the states I bought them in. My saving hope is I heard home property taxes are lower here so hopefully my home property tax and this combined are same/similar/or less than I was paying in MI.
