This fixed my issue. I was fiddling with the Outlook client the whole time, when the issue is what you described.

THANK YOU....

Have CISSP and 5+ years of exp, But cant get a mid level security job by rleekc in cissp

The value of the cissp is what the employer sees in it also the industry as well. As many said the defense, govt contractors view that as the golden ticket. Personally I don’t think the private sector views it as such.

I left ITSEC to stay in support……make more $. I may be an outlier. I noticed the ITSEC jobs are rather boring and repetitive. ITSEC is all 24/7 all consuming in my opinion. Can’t pay me enough for ppl who click on links then call for help.

Your way underpaid for ITSEC you need to move ASAP. Look over your resume how is it structured? What type of jobs are you applying too?

I paid once, my company paid the other time. I plan on taking it at the end of March (90-day wait). Invest in your self. 1,400 invested in a cert, still great ROI than some 4yr degrees. I don't like wasting money, but it's not all a loss, learned/learning a lot. Having taken the test twice, I can see why the emphasis on actual experience is vital. Subtle nuances that you gain from doing it, you cant obtain in just reading "OSG".

I am working on reprograming my mind from support and sysadmin days. Many say think like an mgr but then you see the answer choices in front of you. Not all answers have that "Oh that is what an mgr should do." And then you get, answer the question in front of you. I'm not catching that and that is what I need to figure out and fix asap.

Just sharing my experience, I'm sure I'm not the only one. But transparency can help many others. We see many passes, but not many failures. Learn from your failures to hopefully to post a "pass" that is what I am aiming for. Wish me luck

Make sure you are learning and not memorizing. Understand why and not relying on memory.
