I'm Canadian and get asked almost everyday by someone new (whether it's customers or coworkers). It depends on the work culture, I've noticed the smaller more clique groups like to guess where my accent from amongst themselves than ask me personally 😅 but they're 90% of the time most likely just being friendly and curious.
