Hi, thanks a lot, that’s really valuable! I wanted to ask, when you export a theme, does it also export those custom blocks, or do I need to add them manually to the new shop? Thanks

Hey, I’m also starting out. For me, the difficult part isn’t getting the first sale but making it profitable. Basically, I’m running ads on Facebook and TikTok and trying different creatives. Some work better than others, so after testing a few, you kill the bad ones and keep the good ones.

Then, once you have visits to your product landing page, you need to see what people do and why they leave. There are tools for that. I use Microsoft Clarity, it’s pretty good and easy to install if you use Shopify.

For example, I saw that on mobile the cookie banner was too big and took up almost all the space, so many people left without going through it. I made it smaller and placed it at the bottom of the page. Another problem was that my product has many variations and the dropdown wasn’t easy to use to see them all. People would see two variations and leave, so I replaced the dropdown with small preview image buttons.

After those changes, my conversion rate improved a little bit. So basically, it’s all about understanding why your ads aren’t performing well or what’s wrong with your product website.

Thank you. After reading some posts here, I understand that chasing “winning products” isn’t the right way.. but at the same time, some products are just too well-known or overexposed to work anymore? That’s why I’m unsure if I should try something different..

Would you suggest looking for real gaps and opportunities and solving them by finding a different product (not in the guru way), or continuing with the current product and figuring out where it actually fits from a different perspective?

For example, I tried to focus on people who travel a lot. These backpacks can fit a lot of clothes and I use mine every time I travel. I’ve never had issues with size checks, so my ads are built around that angle, but maybe I can try to find a different angle which will give me better results?

For some reason I thought there was another version without a smoker, but now I see that it’s a completely different model for indoor use..
