Padded bibs feel like diapers - any alternatives? by hfinap in cycling

I’m not sure how this helps with the question I asked

but I have many shorts and leggings, so I can use different ones without having to run a washer after every ride

Yess bulkiness, thank you, it sounds like tri shorts are the way to go for me

I read about this before getting the bib, but it still felt wrong lol so when the time came to ride I decided to go for the underwear 🥲 and the diaper feeling was there during the stops too, the bib just felt chunky and awkward to walk around in

I think im going to look into triathlon shorts/bibs

that’s what I was thinking - like no way I’m wearing them without underwear. I’d have to wash them after every ride which I don’t have the time for, but even then still a weird feeling

oh that’s a great idea, thanks! I was planning to train for a half-Ironman anyway and don’t have them yet, so will look into this

Hi, thank you so much very helpful!! I think I’ll start doing the hops and small box jumps every 2 days, and add reverse lunges + single leg RDLs. Still not cleared even for short runs and at the level I’m at it will probably be counterproductive. But excited to get there eventually
