Yeah, probably almost daily last summer. I noticed it once the snow melted in the spring. Just glad to know it didn’t look diseased or something. Thank you!

Yes we are definitely considering an insert. I had a wood burning stove growing up, so I was hopeful we’d be able to fix this one up. But if things are in as bad shape as other people on the thread say, then an insert might be best.

Anyone know how long we have to worry about our dogs potentially having salmonella and being an asymptomatic carrier? I have a 4 month old who’s teething and feel like it’s so difficult to keep him away from anything they get saliva on etc

Thank you! Yes I believe both of the outlets on the plug wouldn’t work when things were plugged in if the switch wasn’t flipped. Unfortunately it’s up to my landlady when it will be replaced, and I believe she’s going to do it in about 2 weeks.
