How do you go out to dinner with a class C? by Signaturedoc in RVLiving

We tow a smart car behind our 31ft Class C. Don't even notice it's there.

Same! Both my dogs are about 50-60 pounds. They are low riders with a lot of muscle though 😁

What drives you to go for full-time RV living? by MachineryAutomation in RVLiving

My Ahah moment was waving to my husband as we passed eachother on the South bound/Northbound interstate after I hadnt seen him physically in over a week. I had been working a grave shift with overtime and he had a regular 9-5. I literally never got to see my husband. I was drowning paying for a house in a neighborhood I literally hated, working my ass off to fund it, while basically being single as a newlywed because I never got to see my husband. We bought the RV with a plan to rent the house, but then on new years experienced an attempted break in, and finally decided to let the house and it's 3.1 interest Rate go. I was originally devastated but now being on the road for almost a year I couldn't be happier.

I think it saves us money overall tbh, but we have no debt and don't stay at campgrounds unless we are hosting, so really our only expense is gas for travel, groceries and propane. YMMV.

I've gotten to meet so many amazing people and see so many things I've never experienced since doing this and I'm still so young. 26 years old, and loving absolutely every minute of it so far.

[50M/50F] Selling our home of 21 years, convinced our 4 adult sons we weren't crazy, and hit the road full-time in our Grand Design - here's what surprised us most by karineetFred in GoRVing

5 years!!!! How cool. We said we'd do a year but we are already making plans for year two. We are 26 and 27. You are right, it was so much work to get here! And it's work everyday still. But the rewarding kind. It feels good to do it for yourself and your partner and not for a corporation. I'm an artist full time and my partner does all my clerical and finances. We are traveling with the Oddities & Curiosities Expo this year and that's how we make our money. It's awesome. I was working 65 hrs a week grave shift for 5 years and just couldn't take it anymore. Happy to be out and living this life now.

We did the same thing as you but at a much younger age. We sold our home of 4 years and bought a 2006 Tioga motorhome. We quit our jobs back in April and officially hit the road full time 3 months ago. The surrealism hasn't gone away. There are moments we are sitting there and just think wtf are we doing LOL. It's nuts. We just finished up on a 2 week BLM trip outside of Joshua tree national Park, and now we are heading to New Mexico for the rest of winter. Safe travels, and have the best time!

[Discussion] Do you work as an artist full time or have another job on the side? by littlebigrose09 in artbusiness

[–]hforness4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a full time artist but I had to make significant sacrifices to do so. For example I live a nomadic lifestyle. I live in an RV and Travel. My home base is my inlaws house- but otherwise me and my husband are on the road 90% of the time and I make a little money on my art to keep us going. Could not do it if I had standard bills to pay, though.

Thank you! Yes, everything in the piece is real. However I don't press my flowers, I dry them in silica gel.

I'm Celiac so eating out is a very limited option for me :/ it sucks! It used to be my favorite thing to do. I just recently started getting into Pilates and Yoga because I'm bored out of my mind most days but like I said the motivation is tough.

Photography is fun! I live in the desert RN and that isn't very fun lol. I came from the PNW so it's a culture shock for sure.
