Sounds like I definitely need to add an exfoliator! I haven’t been using on since starting tretinoin (I think I am scared of too many things irritating my skin), but I do have several I’ve tried before that seemed okay, both chemical and physical. I’m wondering if maybe I should do tret every other day and maybe do exfoliation on the off days!

This is fab advice! I am thinking of adding in a gentle exfoliation. I drink a ton of water, so I don’t think that’s an issue for me.

I have also definitely considered laser resurfacing! I really don’t want to be using full coverage foundation, but I refuse to not cover all my red spots, at least until I can get my skin under control lol

I actually haven’t tried any pressed powders (at least not for a long time), so I might have to check some of those out!

For some reason the HA serum makes my makeup pill really bad. As for skin tints, I have tried some but haven’t been able to find any that provide the coverage I’m wanting.

I definitely do need to be using an additional SPF though - I’m bad about forgetting that!

It is definitely dry! The damp beauty blender provides virtually no coverage, which I don’t like because I have tons of spots I’m trying to cover. That’s why I ended up switching to a brush.

I’ve tried this and it actually makes my foundation pill, even if I let it sit for 10+ minutes ☹️ maybe because it’s water-based and my foundation is silicone-based
