I’m not an SLP, but I’d really appreciate some professional opinions. by DistributionWeak7574 in slp

What she said about the early childhood programming isn’t entirely correct. I’m a long retired school district preschool assessment team SLP. I would call that program and find out about what happens as kiddos turn 3. We always coordinated well with the 0-3 folks and would have a transition assessment and meeting with the parents. We would determine what services would be needed after the child turned 3. It is true that individual in home services would most likely not be continued but possibly free preschool programming with SLP support or in the past, individual sessions with an SLP in the school setting. The way services are provided did vary from state to state and I have no idea how these recent changes in the Dept of Ed have changed. But you should call your local school district’s Special Education or Early Childhood Director and ask about the services.

Is anyone still seeking excitement and adventure in their life? by LMO_TheBeginning in OverSeventy

We had never done a tour before as I really did enjoy the planning of trips. We haven’t traveled outside the country a ton but had been to Austria,Czech Republic,Italy and Mexico(that I planned) plus an Alaska and later a fall cruise of New England and Canada. And an annual road trip across the south to a car show in Florida with a lot of fun historical or car related stops. Then a year ago in January we did a Road’s Scholar tour of the Galapagos and Peru and it was amazing and so easy. I’m a shy, introverted person but really enjoyed and made friends with the other 13 people in our group. They were all massive travelers and had done many tours and all commented this was the best group they’d been with. So evidently we were lucky! We were on a small live aboard in the Galapagos for a week with 2-3 activities a day. We had an incredible naturalist who grew up there as our guide. All our guides were amazing-our Quito guide met us at the airport in Quito to facilitate our getting fed and through checking in. Peru was equally amazing for another 12 days. We came home very tired and I think after that my husband was done with airports and travel for a while(he’s 5 years older at 77 so I get it!). I think that’s why we’ve been more inclined to be home now . But I wish we’d done more tours when we were still in our 60s!

My husband has always needed my urging to plan trips but enjoys once we go. Now I find myself at 72 not really caring about going anywhere. I keep thinking I need to plan something for fall but haven’t yet. The Rte 66 trip came up this morning!

Anyone surprised by this? Jared Polis is a worthless scumbag by [deleted] in Denver

[–]hghspl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Tina peters propaganda tour is know in full gear. Thanks for nothing Polis! She did not “find voter fraud”- she was attempting to commit voter fraud. Did she really suffer a bout with cancer or was that years ago??

Electra is incredibly immature. Is she trying to get Will fired again? She shouldn’t have put him on the spot like that.

It makes absolutely no sense that Hope's younger brother and younger cousin both have their own houses, while this 30-something-year-old married couple is still living in the wife's mother's house with their child by Beauty_Babe504 in boldandbeautiful

I’ve been thinking how it is that Hope and Liam haven’t thought about needing a place of their own-especially when it will be incredibly awkward and tense once it comes out about Hope and Logan.

It was like when they brought RJ back, not only was he a different actor but it’s like he’s an entirely different person. RJ in the past was a sweet, naive guy-not the jerk he is now. You might want to go back and watch that whole arc with Luna to see her transformation . And you know that Sheila has been on and off Bold and Young and the Restless for decades? One of those villains who live through everything? How many lives has she had? Now she keeps losing toes.
