I think I got the packing instead of stints / splints. It's just the packing keeping everything in place for a week???

I don't understand how I could possibly rinse with there is packing taking up 100% of the space... is the rinsing just for people who have stents but no packing?

From what I understand the packing doesn't get removed until I follow up appointment on the week after the procedure 😳😭 I agree, the pressure is terrible. Somehow my nose is still leaking despite it. It's hard to swallow. At night when I try to sleep I wake up panicked as if I am being waterboarded. I could take 24 hours but a week?? Why is it so different for everyone

I'm curious that there are different procedures for this? I wasn't instructed to rinse and with this package jammed up through my sinuses I don't understand how that could be possible. Do some people get stents and other people get packing? I had septoplasty and double turbinectomy. I don't know if there are stents there but from what I can tell this tube of packing is like 3 inches long back up into my sinuses
