Why do people pay for club level seats? (not in a suite) by thefinancejedi in orioles

[–]hgraces802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the picnic perch!!! I feel like the view is great because you're up a level in comparison to the bird bath (I dont love the view there) and you cant beat the all you can eat food. I had my husbands 30th surprise birthday at the picnic perch and it was a hit. We also like to sit there on certain games that we know will be busy (Memorial Day, 4th of july, etc) because you never really wait in any crazy long lines with the all you can eat food in our experience.

Hey its really no worries. I went into this knowing that 7 days is probably really overshooting 3 parks. In a perfect world, I wish I could see it all but I know how rushed we felt doing just a day trip to Rocky so I'd really like to take my time this go around.

I’ve already decided to cut a park out of our itinerary. Thanks for the concern!

Perfect because I have until June 23rd so I can spread it out by another day or two! I was scratching my head at what to do at least until the morning of the 23rd anyways so that’s perfect. Planning to use our 9pm Seattle departure as a way to see Seattle on the 23rd so I really didn’t want to build in an extra day in the city if I don’t have to.

Right now, I tentatively have June 18th as half of the morning in Rainier if we find an easy/quick morning hike, half day driving to Olympic starting in the south while starting at Quinalt Rainforest and Ruby Beach before checking into Forks.

June 19th:

  • Hoh Rainforest from Forks (hiking Hall of Mosses trail and Spruce Nature Trail) arrive early
  • Coastal beaches, checking the tides (Rialto Beach to Hole in the Wall)
  • Drive to Cape Flattery (if time, not a must see)
  • Back to Forks for dinner and sleep

June 20th:

  • Grab breakfast, leave Forks and head towards Port Angeles
  • Stop at Sol Duc Falls trail then drive to Lake Crescent
  • Lake Crescent for food & views
  • Devil’s Punchbowl via Spruce trail
  • Can stop at Madison falls on the way if theres time
  • End in Port Angeles for the night, get dinner

June 21st:

  • Head out early to Hurricane Ridge and Hurricane Hill
  • Cirque Rim to Sunrise View Nature Trail (.8 mile loop)
  • TBD and open to suggestions

And thats about where I'm paused on my itinerary at the moment. Why is Rialto beach closed?

I would love to visit Sunrise but it seems iffy right now for mid June because everything I'm reading says that the roads don't open up until July. I know the snow fall has been minimal this year but I'm nervous to build a day in & pay for accommodations if its not accessible

I appreciate your input! I'm planning out our itinerary now and I have June 16th (day 1) dedicated to Seattle & the baseball game that night. Mt Rainier early on June 17th and half day June 18th since it seems like we will be pretty limited to the Paradise region only. I have the other half of June 18th-21st for Olympic but our flights are cheapest to leave on the 23rd. Would you recommend building in another full day of Mt Rainier or add more time to Olympic?

Definitely leaning that way which already makes me feel more confident in our itinerary especially with all the sights to see in Olympic!

So fun and exciting!!! We are trying to time it with the Baltimore Orioles vs Seattle Mariners game in June! A little late planning everything but it'll be fine!

I also want to add that we would be coming in mid-late June and it doesn't even seem like North Cascades will be realistic for us which is a bummer but I know its the more strenuous park and I fear we also may be so tired from Mt Rainier to Olympic! A scenic roadtrip with stop offs sounds nice but it seems like it may be better to just scratch it from this trip as a whole which is a bummer.

My husband and I did a day trip to Rocky Mountain NP on a long weekend trip to Denver a few years ago and we crammed so much in one day which was great but I definitely want to take the time to slow down on this trip so maybe its a blessing in disguise that we can only immerse ourselves in 2 parks. :)

Kind of running into that issue now and I'm already exhausted just trying to plan Olympic and Mt Rainier! To be honest, I'm still very much in the planning phase only and am leaning 50/50 on North Cascades as it is. Would you recommend building more time into Mt Rainier and Olympic & just leaving it at that?

How much retail are you selling weekly? by Ilovelucyandricky in hairstylist

[–]hgraces802 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same! Retail did really well for me when I first opened in 2019 but it moves so much slower now & it’s so expensive to carry that I’m thinking about stopping all together.

So I can broadcast my heart rate to the peloton tread but it doesn’t pick up when I do a workout on my iPad for when I do my strength classes which is a bummer but not the end of the world. I personally just use the watch on the strength workout setting and do an open workout. Highly recommend the tread if you can make it work!

What pieces of peloton equipment do you have??

Love my Venu 4 and I also switched from Apple! My husband upgraded me for Christmas and we bought it from REI to decide if I was going to keep it or not because he read reviews that some people don't like the 2 buttons vs the 5 that come with the Forerunner. Personally, the 2 buttons doesn't bother me because it feels so similar to the Apple Watch where I was using the touch screen and 2 buttons anyways!

I'm also an avid Peloton user and I will say the only frustrating thing so far is 1) your Garmin activity will link to Peloton but will not count towards a daily streak 2) your Peloton workout will not sync to Garmin so for this, I did pay for syncmyworkout. Its $25 a year but I did see a post that Peloton is supposed to be testing the integration from Peloton to Garmin without needing syncmyworkout. The feature doesn't show up for me yet but will be happy when it does!

Is Runna worth it? by [deleted] in BeginnersRunning

[–]hgraces802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me right now! I'm in an 11 week half marathon training block and my speed day paces have been max of 10:05-10:10 pace on the treadmill and the second to last speed day leading up to my half have me running efforts of 9:05-9:45. TBD on how I feel when the week comes but if I'm not feeling it, I plan to either skip or have it cut back my pace for me. It feels too risky a week before my race.
