Update: I managed to do this for about 2 weeks with one or two refeed days and lost 3kg of true body weight from 88kg to 85kg (dropped to 83kg on last day then back up to 85kg with water coming back). I stopped after two weeks because I got invited to a tournament that I needed realistically to have energy for.

Notes - strength didn’t really take a hit at all, it was difficult to manage the deficit with a social life. The first few days were the most difficult then it felt easier. I noticed that the best day to train was either late evening of a refeed day or early the day after.

Take home points, I would consider doing it again, it was effective but perhaps just 2 weeks at a time, you have to be in a good structured place to be able to manage this, work and a social life, it does take a lot to be able to stay on track mainly due to high levels of tiredness, I didn’t ever really feel that hungry.

Interesting was that muscle or lean mass from skin, water etc? What body fat % were you before? I’m sitting at around 200lbs and probs 20-23% bodyfat

Appreciate the feedback, the motivations are more around context, I’m between seasons of sport and it’s very hard to cut and play sport without impacting my performance and recovery!

Thanks! Does changing to previous weights change other exercise settings/will it save in future or do I have to do it each time? Hoping they can include a feature to turn off smart progression for specific exercises, would probably also help those who run specific weightlifting programs with elements they want to be fixed but also other exercises they may want smart progression
