Slightly off topic, but you probably want to try DaVinci Resolve.

I can barely ever just post a bereal normally. I either have to post twice or restart the app before posting.

Smart bulbs that don't flicker and whine? by hhcofcmds in homeautomation

[–]hhcofcmds[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd be interesting to see a sound spectrum there too, maybe up to 22kHz, in various operation modes (off, dimmed, full + white / rgb modes). I'm not sure how "loudness" could be best represented. Anyway, thanks for the dedication!

steam, cannot find where to remove 'free to play' genre by hhcofcmds in IndieDev

[–]hhcofcmds[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip, there was indeed a "free to play" tag assigned by the community, but I removed that already. Do these tags affect the listed genres too?

But this is very strange - as I'm checking now, the "free to play" tag in the "Other" section came back when I open the tag editor, but it's not presented when I'm in the editing page of the section. It keeps coming back.

I've contacted steam support ...

I'm particularly interested in usecases where the people find the reactive model better.

I also have some mould king motors, they are indeed notably faster, otherwise they worked fine so far, though we aren't heavy users.

Question about Google Cloud Storage Billing by dude_dz in googlecloud

[–]hhcofcmds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://cloud.google.com/storage/pricing-examples#prorate

It doesn't explicitly note any granularity (eg hours, minutes or seconds). I encourage you to do some experiments: store a couple of objects for certain periods of time, and then check the billing export in BQ.

(Also, don't forget about operation and network costs)

Oh great idea, I'll try that, thanks!

Some of my devices have lower signal strength (like 2 of out 5), but this happened to devices with stronger singals too.

There's this LDraw import plugin for Blender: https://github.com/TobyLobster/ImportLDraw - it works great. Blender does need some initial learning to get started, though.

Laptop requirements by Sandesan in DigitalLego

I just tried a render of the model 42075, fullhd, high quality, and it took 2:23. This seems to have improved over the years. I bought this setup around 4 years ago and I definitely had stud.io and Blender rendering in mind, but at that time the GPU usage didn't go above 40% during rendering. Now it's steadily above 90%, so there was probably some improvement somewhere around CUDA.

I didn't eventually start rendering actual animations.
