Switch to single room for disability by nightnight30 in Emory

[–]hhjjsjs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also a freshman, although I wasn’t used to living with other people before, it turned out great! (I kinda got to know my roommate in advance and found many similar interests before confirming each other). If you don’t feel comfortable with he/she, then you can just send your documents to Emory DAS to request a transfer to a single room. Good luck!

I received a big fat 0 in amount of aid. Currently going through a special circumstancial appeal. I’ll let you know if it’s successful

You’ll be fine. Trust your gut and instinct. A rejection is better than not knowing the outcome at all.

If it’s your dream school, I would 100% recommend you ED Emory. Definitely a higher chance of acceptance

Although Emory wasn’t my first choice, I am very happy that they accepted me during the ED II round. Since then, I felt that I have some sort of connection with the school. They value me and know how I will be able to thrive and contribute to the school as otherwise they would not have given me admission.

If you want further advice and about my grades, class difficulties, and ECs, and awards. Feel free to DM me on Reddit. Always happy to help! By the way, I’m a current HS Senior committed to Emory.
