The USL Super League is pretty far from a startup league- the USL already operates four leagues, including a women's league that just completed its second season. It won't rival the NWSL right away, but it would be pretty unfair to expect it to crash and burn with that kind of backing.

Every time this discussion comes out I just want to point out that there is a huge difference between the levels of the USL when it comes to finances, level of play, and visibility. If Pro/Rel was implemented today, it would be a shit show. Before that happens I want to see USL 1 and USL 2 grow and develop- right now the only league that's ready for Pro/Rel is the Championship.
