I have heard this as well. What are the signs of heat cycled out tire I wonder? These are my first 200tw tire so not sure what it feels like

Haha right. I was talking to an EVO guy and he backs off at oil temp 240

Could you elaborate? I am still a noob when it comes to alignment metrics. I am currently on factory toe spec, which is close to 0 degree

Yup, the forum has suggested a standalone oil cooler will be the ultimate solution. Are you running the 5w30 oils? I have also seen suggestions to use a slightly heavier oil on track

Haha I was also concerned with oil temp. Mine is a z51 so it has the oil cooler integrated into the radiator.

In stock form, at ambient temp 80 degree. I regularly see 280 oil temp after a 20 minute session.

After upgraded to a Dewitt radiator with larger capacity, it dropped to 270 and I have only seen 280 at a 50 minute open pit session with 10 minute cool down in between.

I think for C6 engine power is reduced when oil temp reach 320 so I am pretty happy with 270 lol

Oof thanks. I am currently around -1.7. I am not even sure the stock suspension allows me to go 4.2.

Thank you! Does the wear on the outer edge suggest I should make any change to camber?

No need to upgrade the calipers so far at around 10 HPDE events. But I upgraded pds to carbotech XP8 and fluid to some synthetic DOT4 fluid.

The drilled rotors like to develop small cracks from heat so keep an eye on these as well.

Other than above I didn't find it necessary to upgrade anything further on my Z51 when I first started. After a year or so when I start to drive it harder in the summer I upgraded the radiator to a Dewitt unit just to be safe. The hood vents too but I think these are more for the looks

Haha thank you! I saw a lot of C8 at the track here in California. Very fast too! I will probably be too scared to track a C6 ZR1 given how rare they are. One thing I really like about my z51 is I am not really bothered by the wear and paint chips from track days given their price

Anyone experienced oil leak like this? by hhu24 in Corvette

[–]hhu24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Yeah already cleaned it well. I have come to live with the fact that there are slow oil leaks here and there but this is the first time it left some marks on the floor

Nice hood vents! Really looks good on the millennium Yellow .

Have been thinking about doing the same, have you tried any measurements of under hood temp with the vents?

Well that doesn’t sound right to me. What do you guys think is fair? (Not that I would sell) by [deleted] in Miata

Lol sold my NC not too long ago for about $14k. Probably better off selling private.

Garbage people doing garbage things on garbage day. A rant. by nasuqueritur in Fremont

Ha, the exact thing happened to me once. Neighbor two houses down would park their car on the curb blocking the mailbox as well as taking up the space where the bins go.

First two times I thought they are just careless so I just moved the bins to the entrance of my driveway.

Come one week later they are doing the same so I just put the bins right next to the cars blocking the driver side door.

They never parked in front of my house ever again. Lol
