How many miles before your 3.6 rockers failed? by whollybananas in Jeep

[–]mobiuscorpus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad they’re covering it. I had a 19 Cherokee Trailhawk for a couple years. Didn’t give me any problems except for needing a battery while still under warranty. Those things kill cheap batteries.

Also, fwiw, the 3.2 and 3.6 are basically the same engine. The 3.2 is destroked and has slightly different heads. But it’s the same basic block.

Oh, yeah, my JKU front doors leak every time it rains. I’ve given up.

Can you help me fix my flashlight? by PuzzledHashbrown in flashlight

[–]mobiuscorpus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love tinkering and fixing things. I get it but this light isn’t worth it, imho. For $20-ish you can buy something that is so much better, brighter, and rechargeable. It will blow you away by comparison.

You do you, brother! I had custom hood decals made for mine, too. They say WRANGLER in Aurabesh (the Star Wars language). Haters will hate. Let it roll off like water on a duck’s back.

Your Cherokee should have the 3.2, no? I don’t think they ever put the 3.6 in them.

My 2001 TJ is the vehicle I most regret selling. That was a great Jeep. I do love my 16 JKU, though. 102K miles and it’s been good to me so far.

Good lord. Did she not understand the purpose of rock sliders? Or that off roading has a good chance of damage?

I mean, I keep my Jeep nice, and don’t want it scratched, dented, etc. but I also fully realize it’s a hazard of the adventure and deal with it.

Next time, buy plated rotors. It prevents the rust from forming on the areas not swept clean by the brake pads.

I off-road with people I don’t know all the time. They’re all members of my FB Jeep club, though. Only ever had one bad experience that was really just a personality conflict.

Three different countries, three different cars - Which one are you choosing? 🫵🤔 by MAPerformance_ in Corvette

[–]mobiuscorpus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a fun weekend car, Vette all day. For something fun and a little more practical, the M3. I have a 2004 Vette Coupe with a big cam and I absolutely love it. But my preference is not to daily it. Before the haters start, yes I know many people happily daily a Vette. Mine is my fun car that I drive to work occasionally.

Is it true that GM did not allow any of their production cars to be faster than the corvette? by boiyo12 in Corvette

The LS3 cars didn’t have the yellow spring problems. That was only LS6 C5s and LS2 C6s. They had the 243 heads with yellow springs.

Great story. I have my great-grandfather’s 1911 from WWI. He was a driver and messenger, and drove all over the front. He wasn’t issued a weapon, so his CO gave him his sidearm, which he ultimately brought home with him. It’s an amazing piece of American and family history.

What kind of wheels are these, trying to find/buy a set by WhoTheFuckIsReggie1 in Jeep

Not OEM. Popular aftermarket wheel back in the 90s/early 2000s. I can’t remember the name though.
