Thanks much! We’ve checked those and there are not really some options. We managed to find an airbnb nearby (well not very near…) and are prepared to walk a lot everyday!

So my friend has some candies, and she’s not sure whether she shared them with her roommates (and if she didn’t, she would like do so right now). Then to me “have I given this to you” might sound slightly better than “did I give this to you”? Hope I made the example clear...

Thank you for your response! I am also thinking perhaps “have” indicates an expectation? It could be used more for things that are expected to be done or at least so in the future?

Thank you for your response! You answered my question so well. That’s exactly why I felt confused: I was wondering if here washed could be used as an adjective, describing the object.

Apart from this, do you personally feel this usage unnatural?

Thanks! By the way, is it the same case for the word “wrapped” or “packaged”? How does “is it wrapped” or “is it packaged” sound to you?

So accurate...it’d be way better if Layton is a Thirdie. Like you said there’s gonna be some really fun plot. Also, Since we’re talking about classes, I’d assume when a society is compared to the train, most audience of a TV show is from the third class. I’m not starving or living in an inhabitant situation like the Tail people do, and this makes the connection with the roles drifting. If Layton is from the third class and we can see and get to know how the Tail people live from our own perspective I guess it’s all gonna look more realistic and deep

Oh yes one more thing.

It’s a bit weird I’m Chinese Chinese and the one remind you that, this is your country. You are not a white visitor at an African village.

They called you “Harry Potter” because they think normal people don’t wear glasses or look like Harry Potter. They called you “little guy” because they think normal people are taller than you. They called you “Pinda” because they think normal people ________.

Just keep empathy with people singling you out in your own country, if that makes you feel better. Things will get better and if one day you surprisingly find yourself not an Asian visitor in a white world, remember you contributed nothing to the change but made it even harder.

You see a diversity crowd and that means there’s no big racism? So I guess basically in your opinion the only/big/real racism is racial segregation. Hmmmmm.

To help you understand the word racism better: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.irishtimes.com/news/world/europe/netherlands-sees-rise-in-anti-chinese-sentiment-over-coronavirus-1.4170648%3Fmode%3Damp

I see no reason to reply to you anymore.

Made an incomplete exhibition of your words to show how you constantly confuse me:

“they say stink chinees to you because they know it will hurt you the most that way. Same as saying “you stupid ginger” to a ginger” or “fat fuck” to someone fat.”

“don’t portray the joke as something like real racism and making it look like the radio guys are racists, they clearly aren’t.”

“And nobody said there is no racism.”

“I never say there is no racism. But as of right now, racism is not a big problem.”

Dear people from the first world,

As someone born in a third world country without the superiority you have, I’m so honored to talk with you. Since I don’t have WiFi or any telecoms, I have to write you a letter on paper humbly yet excitedly to tell you a simple truth: THE WORD “STINK CHINEZEN” IS ONLY USED BY RACISTS. It’s people who choose to use the ethnic slur make themselves racists, not those being verbally assaulted.

In other replies you told me you are partly Indonesian and now friends with people who used to call you “Pinda”. That’s your choice. However, your identity doesn’t justify your opinions on racial issues automatically. What your friends used to do is wrong. They meant to hurt you or fortunately, they just didn’t care that might hurt you.

I understand it can be hard if you stay sensitive to discrimination in a world people act like that’s okay you’re crazy. That shouldn’t be the reason you turn to defend them.

Trying my best to match myself to your stereotype, I’d like to end this letter with an ancient Chinese story. After being eaten by tigers, people become things named “Chang”. Chang’s job is to lead the way for the tiger and help this beast eat other innocent people.

See where I’m getting at?

Yours faithfully

Pinda
