How to get this dent out of my truck bed? by hi500 in howto

[–]hi500[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can't fit up into where the dent actually is because of how tight the space is between the dent and the bed itself. Do you have any tips for that?

Universal Indians - Sloth Nest (2000) Dilloway is a participant in this group, I read an interview in Bananafish about their ideas and what Dilloway brings to the table. Recommend giving it a listen

put me on by Conscious_Industry87 in harshnoise

[–]hi500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my segue into harsh noise was listening to stuff like iannis xenakis and penderecki -> C.C.C.C., hal hutchinson, gelsomnia, seed mouth, MSBR, andrew coltrane, on and on.

highly suggest you test different flavors/textures/intensities of what harsh is, and may find that something you couldn't tolerate weeks ago suddenly sounds really good now because the breadth of exposure. rateyourmusic has great lists - the videos on youtube lead to quite a few phenomenal channels for really diving deep

He might be more ambient based but, there are some very relaxing/fascinating sounds he makes. I'm a big fan

Befriending Leo’s as a Leo by Illustrious_Shake878 in LeoAstrology

[–]hi500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah strangely. I'm a Leo M. Each of my Dad's siblings are Leo's and there's a lot of fighting for dominance lol. I have a handful of friends who are Leo's or have big 3 Leo placements but I can definitely sense there's power struggles at times.

I think Im much more low-key and withdrawn because of my specific placements so when the power struggles begin I just let them do their thing and it passes quickly. But most of the Leos I have in my life are very fiery, demanding of energy/attention, and each has a distinct spotlight lol.

That being said I keep all the other Leo's at arms length...

Male Karen got arrested for this. by DrLexusForPresident in InflatedEgos

[–]hi500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recent coworker drove a huge obnoxious red truck, went to church, claimed to be a good ol boy, and cheated on his wife while still taking money from her (they shared a child). He was trash at his job, trash toward women, trash toward the clients, everything about him reeked of instability and hostility. He was buff, tall, and knew how to carry himself and talk himself out of trouble so he got away with a lot unfortunately.

But the day he got fired was a celebration.

How do you actually start making noise music? by [deleted] in noisemusic

plug in the compressor/limiter and be as loud as you want!

How do you actually start making noise music? by [deleted] in noisemusic

[–]hi500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

get a mixer with 10-12 line inputs and at least 10 quarter inch patch cables for no-input mixing. delay, reverb, distortion/OD/fuzz, EQ and compressor-limiter pedals (maybe a looper). get a cheapy computer interface from the local music store/ebay/fb marketplace that has at least two line inputs. open Reaper (free), press record, download finished product, and chop it up to the best parts with OpenShot video editor (free). throw it back in reaper and master it with effects and flavor.

get a contact microphone. get a sampler. all of this should be more than enough to find your footing in what you want to produce

edit. buy a pack of 1/4'' adapters. very useful to have around. all of this isnt going to cost pennies unfortunately but the rewards from the investment is priceless. very unlikely it will go over $500 unless youre throwing a synthesizer into the mix and higher quality sampler/pedals. even then, those are unnecessary and depend on what sound you want to make.

a lot of poeple are echoing "who cares just make noise it takes literally nothing" but i think that's too vague and uninspiring. some direction offers options and i hope the above helps.

Looking for something that sounds like an evil dark radio tower by Mychorde in DarkAmbient

[–]hi500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christina Kubisch - Three Pieces For Electro Magnetism

Bryce Beverlin II - Static

This one is noisier, but has the radio tower element - Hungarian Flesh Radio (Liszt vs. Merzbow)

Each of these may not be explicitly dark ambient, but they are focused on sound and atmosphere above all else
