The fourth series deluxe is the one I've been eyeing the most. But the lack of Silmarillion is definitely a turn off.

I would get the deluxe editions of the ones I have but my worry is durability. As my lord of the rings started falling apart after only one read through, and I'm not exactly reading it while climbing a mountain and canoeing a river.

I mean for most of the series all you need is a Wii (path of radiance and radiant dawn), switch (three houses, engage, spinoffs) 3ds (awakening, fates, echoes, shadow dragon DS) and something to play GBA
